Sounds about right. I am sure he didn't know about that stuff. And you don't know either...or he'll send someone to break your knees if you do.

Joking aside, how stupid are those people to leave a paper trail?

From what I understand the need for a lane closure was for a legit reason. Chosine that lane on that bridge was retaliation. I am not as outraged by this if that is all it is. However it does create the image, real or not, of a politician that makes retalitory hits. We simply cannot have that.

What reason have you heard? What's a good reason for closing a lane on a road, not related to road repair?

Especially since he won by a landslide, he's a raising star. In many aspects he reminds me of that crack smoking mayor of Toronto, though I did like his no-nonsence demeanor and the ability to work with Obama after Sandy. I doubt this scandal sinks him unless there is more though

From what I understood there was the need to close a lane for some study or something. It was going to happen anyways. That lane on that bridge was chosen in retaliation for that mayors opposition. That is where he went wrong. You just cannot do that.

Even if that lane had been singled out before that mayors opposition it probably should have been moved to another area. For the sake of not creating a image of retaliation.

Those pants are trying to choke him.

That guy in the white house seems to be exactly that, no? Unless of course you are naive enough to believe he never "knows" what's going on either when it reflects poorly on him.

Anywho, I don't like Christie so I hope he goes away. There was gallup pull today that was encouraging; 42% of people consider themselves Independents. Time to get rid of this duopoly once and for all. Time to move onto better things like Libertarianism.

What do you consider to be retaliation by Obama towards political opponents?

Great. How come the republican and the democrat candidate for the president got 98% of the votes combined, then? And republican and democratic candidates in the House and Senate elections that same year got 96% of the total vote.

Lol of course he does. But we are talking about Christie right now and not The President.

In the US, "independent" means "I don't feel any guilt about voting for either major party".

Because people don't want to "waste" their vote, so they'd rather vote for garbage than for someone who doesn't have a chance. The political machine has pushed this idea pretty hard. I call it the tetter-totter to hell. We just keep swinging from giant douche to turd sandwich as if it makes a damn bit of difference.

Ah cuz we are Murricah and we rule the world with our kick *** two party sisters that we love to hate and so do you. It seriously kicks *** being this kick ***. Cry like China n Russians, we don't care.

I've seen claims this is true, but so far, no actual study has been named, at least that I could find.

IF it is not true that only increases the theme of retaliation here. Fabricating a need for the lane closure makes it worse.
