For the record I think it's further worth noting that I think virtually all combine results in a vacuum are either entirely devoid of predictive value or very weakly predictive. Even more frequently cited stats like max vertical leap turn out to be weakly predictive when you start looking at results years after the fact. I mean, Dwayne Wade looks less athletic than Ronnie Brewer based on combine results.
The numbers are sexy, but I think people fool themselves with them more often than they actually gain real insight about a player's real future prospects.
