Too Many Question Marks

youre a skip-stepping sonnuvabitch, aren’t u!
Nah I’m a take the next step guy doe. Usually guys log 8-10 minutes and are promising but not super effective before they make a leap. Just don’t stay on the first step... or see if there is an elevator... don’t wander between the staircase and the elevator pondering which is appropriate for the situation.

It is less about the playoffs and more about knowing what you have... if Ingles doesn’t play in actual games all those years ago you don’t know what you have.

our “proven” players included mudiay, Niang and TB. Then you add Tucker, Oni, Morgan, NWG... those guys are fine for two way projects but they can’t take up that much of your roster. Ed not working out is really problematic, but like you said those spots are for injuries. Some of those g league guys should at least be tested if you gonna have that many spots dedicated to them. Now we will add a pick and roll into next season keeping most of those guys around... they flame out and we are thin again... but folks will say it wasn’t their fault they wanted to see if the young guys could contribute... should be a one season question but will take multiple.

And spare me the practice talk... you can’t evaluate what these guys are in practice. They don’t scrimmage all the time and scrimmages are worlds different than live games.
The thing is Ingles played because he filler a need and had good defense. Royce came in because he filled a need and improved his shot. Those guys were better prospects to make rotation because they were proven already in Europe. If Brantley or Oni were as much good they would have gotten the playing time.

As for too many projects, I don't agree. Your last 5 guys almost never play. If the FO trusted Niang and went after a wing ınstead of Jeff Green, we would have been a much better team now but they didn't.

And players are being tested, just in ways you can't see which, I guess, makes you uncomfortable. They will monitor their offseason improvements and see if they have what it takes to be tested on court next season. Also projects take multiple seasons, that's why they are called projects. What happens if Brantley go out there and sucks? Do we cut him and bring someone new?
