Trade away our pick????

After an exciting season, it seems the Jazz are on the up and up ready to contend for a playoff spot next season. While many players did come through in SOME games, it seemed that they were a no show in other games. Our PG's have a ways to go. Alec Burks coming back from his injury will take away minutes from other guys. Seeing as how Burks contract is hefty, the team will give him his shot at proving he is the player that they think he is. From the top to the bottom, I think this team is still 2-3 years away from making a push as an elite team. Rather than add another solid player in one of the deepest draft classes in years, why not package our first in this years draft along with next years 1st rd. pick to another team. Giving the guys we have now another full year to mesh and fix the bugs in their game would be more beneficial in my opinion. Rather than adding another 10 minute bench player from this draft class. Im not really sure what kind of package or trade they could make, whether it be players and picks, or draft picks for draft picks. I would like to see these guys have a shot first without another rookie coming into the mix. There are still to many unanswered questions for me with these guys to add another young prospect.

Not a fan of trading out for a future pick. I'd prefer to trade up or trade for immediate help. I think Utah will look hard at those options, but it's hard to find the right deal without overpaying, so I believe BPA is still probably the most likely outcome.

So you want to give the current roster players a chance to play, yet you are ok with trading those picks for a player ...not sure I follow the logic.

Utah has holes in the roster, most notably at the 4/5. We have Gobert, Favors, Booker but definitely need at least a 4th big. Also there's no guarantee Booker will be back in 2016 as an UFA. I'd definitely be in favor of Utah getting someone to develop.

As for trades, can we upgrade over Trey or bring in another big? I like our wings and see no reason to NOT give the majority of minutes to Burks, Hood and Hayward. Just don't see DL making a move there. We could trade this pick for a future one. It would free up more money for free agents if that is something DL wants.

Id prefer a 4/5 but BPA would sit well with me as well, but trade down/up won't surprise me anything can happen and Jazz FO will be active

The best way is and always will be to get better through the draft. As u said we are 2 or 3 years or more from being elite. I cas understand trading the pick, if the right deal comes up, or if u aren't excited about who is left to pick then fine, but if u have a chance to add a WCS or Kaminsky then u make the pick, and the team is better off for years to come. By the time we are contenders whoever we draft will be fully developed.

Walt is just playin chess bros... He's a super genius.

Idk, in the last two drafts DoL has scored Rodney Hood and Rudy Gobert in the twenties. Maybe Jazz should trade twelve for two twenties and call it good.

Of course it all changes when Jazz land a top three pick.
