Trade deadline discussion

That Gordon trade doesn’t move Denver’s needle at all for me.
An athletic as hell, four-position defender and a rim-protector being added to the team that needed them most, and who even without them made the WCFs last year aren’t a concern?

**** on paper doesn’t always work out IRL but on paper the Nuggets surgically added everything they were missing in the net expense of nothing, IMO.

I think DM would cook Gordon... Harris is great at locking up guards. Aaron is better as a wing and help guy. I haven't seen the full trade but it looks like they did well. AG will certainly help them more than Harris.

The deal I am worried about is the Lakers potentially getting Lowry... that would suck *** and it looks like the other suitors are dropping off.
Donovan will cook against forwards in this league and that is a given. He only struggle against guards.

I think AG working off of Jokic and Murray will be really good and he will help them against the bigger wings on defense. Likely improves their help defense. Harris is one of the better guard defenders in the league though... exactly the type that can give DM problems.

I don't like Denver getting better and doing it cheaply... but I don't the moves they made today will be the reason they beat us... if they did. It's really that we haven't found an answer defensively against Jokic and Murray.

Evan Fournier is in the weird spot between being good and very good. Surprised he didnt get at least a protected 1st rounder for him, but maybe it's two very highly projected 2nd rounders.
He's an unrestricted free agent in the summer, so that takes some off his value.

They also save like $8M dollars in real cash plus give themselves some breathing room for the tax. 2 seconds + $7-8M = 1st rounder imo.

At least we will get to see if the real Aaron Gordon is better than the idea of Aaron Gordon. Its a mystery we never would have solved in Orlando.

Gordon is basically filling the Jerami Grant’s role for them last season, but at the expense of Gary Harris. I think we'd have a better chance against them now versus last season with Grant and Harris

Also the buyout guys we want are moving around so there will be opportunities. Guys I'm looking at...

- Moe Harkless
- Austin Rivers

Who the hell am I kidding... I'm looking at OP jr and only OP jr.

Jazz chance at making a move, either a signing or trade. I'd give it 3.14% maybe 3.2%

You're being pretty generous there.

We aren’t making a trade. I am pretty sure we end up adding Dante after he is bought out... if he isn’t ded.

heard Locke talking about how careful you have to be in adding a guy because they won’t have practice time and need to be fine sitting... I think this all adds up for a reunion and starting the most frustrating experiment all over again. DL needs to feel the soft caress of Dante’s hand pads again.
Is this just a joke, or do you actually think a Dante reunion has real probability?
