The real reports are that Grant he has provided Detroit with a list of teams, but his reported criteria is getting PAID. I’ve not actually seen a list of teams.
So…not Utah.

I could see him being a decent fit and upgrade over Royce in the starting lineup. Overall, I wouldn't be thrilled by that deal depending on what the cost is. I would imagine it would take a 1st and an expiring. Or we would lose Joe's expiring and Clarkson. That's a whole lot of heart and soul leaving the building right there.Hoopshype saying Barnes is on Jazz radar ..
Another good fit …
Started the season well for kings , but has dropped off since coach change and kings play in general nose dived .
Move out Conley, Clarkson, Bogey or Royce, filler + picks and generate a multi-team trade to bring those guys here.So Smart, Collins, and Grant are all part of rumors and are available. Honestly, I like all three due to their contracts, athleticism, ages, and skill sets. I would love to get one, two or even all 3 of these guys if there was that type of miracle.
I think Conley gets us Smart plus assets (probably Schroder and a pick), but I don't think he would get us Grant.Move out Conley, Clarkson, Bogey or Royce, filler + picks and generate a multi-team trade to bring those guys here.
It’s partly a Trae problem. I think attitude issues were part of the problem coming out of the draft. He’s not a perfect piece to build around but still very good. Prolly one of those dudes you always want to be 25% better than he is… kinda like AK47.I don’t understand what’s going on with John Collins. Numbers look legit but he’s been regressing the last few years which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. More than that, why do the Hawks always seem so lukewarm on him?
I think I prefer him to all of Barnes, Grant, and Bogey looking at their numbers, but it feels like I must be missing something.
Yeah, but the core of the frustration with AK (besides not giving a ****) is that his skill set was weird and making him fit in any winning environment was difficult (a dude too weak to play PF, but can’t spread the floor, and who wants to run the offense). It’s partly a Trae problem. His defense isn't great. He was solid in the playoffs. He gets some stats though.Yeah, but the core of the frustration with AK (besides not giving a ****) is that his skill set was weird and making him fit in any winning environment was difficult (a dude too weak to play PF, but can’t spread the floor, and who wants to run the offense).
ANYWAY, Collins seems like a perfect fit here? His numbers frankly crush (regarding efficiency) the dudes I just mentioned and it sounds like he is not prioritized in the offense at all. Good rebounder, decent secondary rim-protector.
I don’t get it. I mean, if he’s just a complete ******* I get it. But if the Hawks are just dumb the Jazz should go hard after Collins.
I like Collins a lot, but I don't know if he's a perfect fit next to Rudy. I do think he gives us a fantastic dimension in the playoffs as a small ball center. He really helped Atlanta in that role last postseason. His defense isn't great. He was solid in the playoffs. He gets some stats though.
I like him... I think he's out of our price range. I think the Hawks put him out there because he has value and they know long term the situation with him and Trae isn't great. Trae is so ball dominant... like Harden and Luka... not everyone is gonna want to sign up for that. It may not even be shots... they just want to feel involved. You add in his completely ****** defense and guys fell like "why am I covering his *** just so I can watch him dribble and get the highlights".
I really do like Collins but the fit isn't completely perfect. He needs to be the roll man sometimes and I guess you could put Rudy in the dunkers spot, but it would mess with spacing a bit. I think John Collins puts up 25 a game someday on a team that is like the 10th seed.
