Trade deadline discussion

Like I have said - Conley is a great dude and a great player. He just doesn't move the needle as much as some think around here.

In the last week, Cy has said that Conley is part of our Big 3. Really? How did he do leading our Jazz against the Griz in Game 1? We had a stretch recently where Conley was healthy leading the team. Need I remind you how awful we were?

If Chris Paul didn't have Booker or Ayton, would it be a foregone conclusion that the Suns would lose every game?
Dude, COnley had 22-11-6 and was a +11 for the game.

The Jazz lost Game 1 because Rudy (the best ****ing player on the team) only played 25 minutes due to foul trouble.

Just stop. You have ****** opinions and you back them up with ****** reasonings that are incredibly inconsistent. You are a fraud of this highest order.

Man, just stop posting and let other people have a better conversation.
Most people here are agreeing that the Conley deal should have been spent on Chris Paul or Jrue Holiday.

I'm not going to sit here and let Cy dominate some conversation saying Mike Conley has been some playoff superstar even if you are a big Cy fanboy.

Mike Conley has not moved the needle in the playoffs.

Lopo claims to be this big picture dude, but then will go on a tirade about how since we lost 1 playoff game by 3 points Mike Conley isnt that good.

But Conley was one of our best players and an All Star. He couldn't beat the #8 seed while at home? But he's so good....

I never said Conley wasn't good. I have said the opposite. He is good.

He just isn't what we needed to become a contender.

You simply responding let's me dominate more because you put up the thinnest arguments on the board.

lmao, you know why I think Donovan is trash and it has little to do with his on-court abilities.
yeah but there's literally no one but you who would put Conley in the same league as Holiday or Paul in terms of on-court abilities. None.

Stats, accolades, team records, name one that's even remotely comparable.

I'm quite often a dumbass. Doesn't mean I'm wrong. Mike Conley has not made the difference we needed a trade of that significance to make.
How can you honestly say he doesnt make a difference?

If there was no difference, then him being healthy or not healthy wouldnt even matter, because he makes no difference right?

Just stop talking out your *** and actually have an honest argument where you dont goalpost or strawman.

And let me add -

We are now afraid to do another trade of that significance because we are afraid that trade will blow up in our face too.

The Mike Conley deal not only cost us assets, but also put us into the luxury.

Yeah, it would be nice if we had better depth....

I guess I must repeat -

In the series that we have lost the last two years, we have lost more games that Mike Conley has played than the games that Mike Conley has missed while injured.

Maybe we can make us some fairytale scenario that we win if he's 100%, but he's had two postseasons with the exact same results.

Jrue Holiday nearly shot the Bucks out of the playoffs multiple times. He had a strong team around him and got to a series where his matchup was favorable and he could shine.

Chris Paul could barely move in the 1st round against the Lakers. If they played an actual team, they get bounced in the first round and everyone says the same **** about CP3 that they saying about Conley, but worse.

Yall are under this weirdo impression that if Conley doesn't heroically carry the Jazz he is a failure and the trade sucked. The Jazz have had bad luck in the playoffs with health, it happens. Conley has been an absolute beast when healthy. Let's focus on getting there healthy and shining with Conley (a guy who has proven if he is there and good to go, he will put up elite level play).

The Jazz are 3-4 in playoff games without Conley and 6-5 with him.

Lopo: "See the Jazz lost more with him, that means it was a bad trade"
