Trade Deadline

burke is staying. hope he plays well to finish the year. he's not a FA, so if he plays well, we can get more for him in the off season.

Can we turn around and trade mack to someone else or do we have to wait?

You can do a one for one trade I believe, but to combine him with other salary you have to wait.

I'm chill as can be.

alright, cool. I'll be careful to post stats around you next time ;)

In all seriousness, I think Mack's gonna be good with Quin. At least the guy can fight around a screen.

1. In a discussion about Trey v. Mack, you chose to post only a single stat that's far from the player's career average, providing no context -- his minutes this season v. previous seasons, etc. Do you think his 3pt% this season is a good representation of his shooting ability or overall value? Seemed disingenuous to me.

2. Yeah, we'll see. Obviously, Neto-Burke-Mack is still **** overall at the 1, but it's nice to have another proven option.

One hour to go, Lindsey having a cocktail and smoking a cigar in his office. Has everything under control, for now at least...

Maybe Dala was just sillily pointing out that shooting isn't Mack's strong point.

BTW, Burke's parents should shut up about Neto starting over him. Burke doesn't shoot at a high enough percentage and is a defensive liability. Burke chucking up shots over Hayward/Hood is not a good thing. There's a reason he's on with the second unit as we lack scoring punch.

I am guessing that the Rockets trade with Detroit may be the end of other trade talks? Does that accomplish what they needed as far as cap relief?

I think they'd love to find someone that wants to take Howard to make a push (Boston) in exchange for picks. I don't think Boston wants to give up the bonanza of picks that Brooklyn was kind enough to gift them without a contractual guarantee that he'll remain in Beantown.

Celtics basically have the Nets unprotected pick for the next three years and the Nets are awful. What a fleecing by Ainge. Adding another top five pick the next three years make BOS a considerable threat in the east as time progresses.
