Trade done for money reasons?

I have not seen nothing said about this, but considering how the Jazz were dumping budget last year, could the Williams trade be for the same reason? With all the uncertainty of the next CBA maybe they were afraid that Deron's contract would put them more over the tax next season.

No, they obviously thought Deron was gone after next season. If Deron indicated he wanted to stay, he would still be here. That's it.

I think the money was a factor but the deciding factor was that Deron was out anyways and this was a great deal for us.
