What's new

trade idea?

Not a terribly exciting trade for either team. I'd at least wait til the middle of the draft to see what other offers are on the table.

I actually like some of the players in the 20s--like Zach Lavine, Isaiah Austin, Alex Poythress, TJ Warren, James Young, etc. I'd rather take a chance on someone who might be able to play over someone who appears like he can't.

Also, if there was ever a situation where a guy like Barnes could succeed, it was in Golden State. He's supposed to be good at shooting 3's, doesn't need to create offense for himself, can defend and rebound a little, nice size…if he can't succeed there, he's not going to do it anywhere else.

Barnes will have a career eerily reminiscent of Martell Webster.

Barnes is shooting 27% the last 10 games! yikes...... To be honest I think the Iggy acquisition really hurt is confidence.

Harrison Barnes problem is his coach. If he was used correctly and worked on his outside shooting he would be awesome.

Did I say Harrison Barnes? Did I mean Kanter?

Problems I see are:
-not over athletic -> hurts his post play that he's tried out earlier this season
-not really fast -> can't slash when not coming off a screen for extra seperation against SFs
This point also hurts his defense...

Chances:
-capable 3 point shooter -> can be a catch and shoot threat
-engaged defender -> can be average
