Trade ideas

Jordan Clarkson would be a great fit on the Warriors, but I have no idea how to get him there given the fact they really dont have great contracts to trade.

I would love to get Moses moody back in that trade.
Actually I will redact what I said about it being impossible.

Chris Paul's individual stats are fracking awful. Clarkson can be traded in January and that gives the Warriors/CP3 experiment enough reps for them to get sick of it and move on.

You can replace Simone/Luka for Dunn if they want Dunn. Clarkson would be huge for them. The fact that his contract gets cheaper the following 2 years would be huge for them.

Actually think this is a highly realistic move.

Boy, that Clarkson extension is looking worse and worse.

Sure it gets cheaper, but not cheap enough IMO. We're fooling ourselves if we think teams see him as some kind of a final piece of the puzzle at this point. I'll be shocked if anyone is willing to part with actual assets for JC.

Dude your bit or whatever you’re doing is annoying. Remember when you said Vando wasn’t going to get anywhere near 10-12 mil a year? You have no gauge on value at all.

When you said it Paul's contract came to mind first but isn't he fitting in very well now that he is coming off the bench?

Seems Wiggins is playing awful also and they might be looking to move on although they will want another starting-caliber wing. I could see grant going here but that would be an awful contract for the dubs.

Wiggins is proven.

Chris Paul gets older every day and just doesnt score enough and they ahve a scoring issue. Wiggins will probably return to what he has been as a solid scorer. They need some bench firepower and Clarkson would help.

Paul is shooting 37% from the field and 16% from 3. Maybe those normalize, but he;s at the age where it might just be what the new normal is.

Which brings me back to my point, Clarkson being trade available in January gives them enough time to see what Paul actually is for them.

Understand the logic but do not see the benefit for the Jazz. CP is old, almost done and probably have zero motivation to wear Jazz jersey.

Alright... so things ain't working in NO. Its been messy and Ingram/Zion doesn't work. Outside of KAT I think one of those two are the most likely star traded this season. I'm not big into either guy tbh but I wonder who is the bigger issue. Ingram seems like a floor raising creator but his offense and teams would have a ceiling. Zion in addition to the injuries just doesn't seem like he takes basketball or conditioning seriously enough. I'm sure we'd register some interest but I am not sure we'd make a serious offer. anyway... one of those dudes is getting moved.

I’d gladly take either honestly but for the price I’d take Ingram. Not sure what a deal would look like but I’m not going crazy on him. Seems like a deal up our alley though.

I don't trust anything around Zion but if the price was right I get the upside play there. The kid is a bit of a mystery box but the parts of the mystery we know make me worry he is not very mature/serious.

I could see DA getting excited about Ingram or having some of the same thoughts I did. He just likes to dribble/cook so I don't know how well he assimilates into a ball movement team, but I guess if we replace JC's cooking with Ingram's cooking its a pretty big upgrade. I think you will always want more on defense from him given his tools. I think he is a more reliable player so I'd likely choose him if the price was the same.

Yup it's pretty obvious those 2 don't fit.

I do like Ingram in a vacuum but then you start watching him play and he's one of those guys that depends almost strictly on ISO's to get the majority of his points (which I'm assuming might be the big issue between him and Zion?) An ISO game is important but shouldn't be the entire bag.
He's also a guy with that high dribble that turns the ball over as much as Clarkson on a bad day. I haven't even touched on his constant injuries.
Sure I'd take a flier at the right price and see if Hardy can get him to buy in.

Ideally I think the best fit next to Keyonte is a 2 way guy who can playmake for his teammates. Not sure Ingram is ideal but if the Pels are looking to dump him can certainly see Ainge getting in the mix. He's also due for a huge 40+mil type extension in '25 when Lauri will also be in line to get paid fwiw.
