Trade Kanter for Faried?

I think that Faried isnt your typical hustle guy. I would even trade Millsap for him right now too.

I picked him out of college to be good, so I have kind of hitched my wagon to him. I knew I would catch flack for this thread, but I think people will start to see in a couple years.

And maybe all he ends up being is a hustle guy, but he is going to be one of the best ever.

Faried can do a lot of things, just watch him. He blocks shots, dunks, and rebounds like he is Dwight Howard. And he is doing it at 6'5". Im telling you, there is something there.
 
Faried will never be anywhere close to Charles Barkley. Faried is a less good Paul Millsap. Why would you give up on Kanter just to get Millsap Junior?

Faried has proven he can play in this league with the big boys. Kanter has proven he is slow and cant play in the league. If you dont think most gms would take the manimal over kanter you need to log out and learn the game of bball beofre you post. Faried played so well this season they traded a good big man nene to give faried more minutes.

very bad analysis. He is a very smart and quick learner guy, just because he doesn't have lateral quickness doesn't make him slowminded. He has great fundamentals so you dont need to teach intelligence, just let him get experience

I have high hopes for Kanter, but I also have high hopes for Faried. Actually **** high hopes. Dude is sick right now. This guy plays his *** off and he has skills too. Reminds of like if Lebron and Wade were blood brothers, then Faried could be too. His athleticism is off the charts. He plays like Dwight Howard down there. I wanted to say mini, but he is playing a lot bigger than he is.

I dont know, I just like him. I think he has a bright future. And frankly Kanter's lack of athleticism scares me.

If you think a GM would then you need to go ahead and retire from talking basketball. Undersized Faried will never be an adequate starter in this league. He has hit his peak. We don't even know what Kanter's peak is yet. But hey, you are a psychic I guess and know how good or bad Kanter will be...... Moran.

Yes, I have. Millsap is a pro. Faried is in a very good situation and could become good (not great). I just dislike the hyperbole that leads to possibly our most loyal/loved player being compared to a rookie that's done nothing to suggest he'll ever be any better. Call me a purist.

It's not even lift, it's explosiveness. I watched many practices where Kanter got plenty high on the pegs, big time dunks, but slow getting off the floor. I noticed that other guys leaped effortlessly, while Kanter, while having very respectable verticle, was dipping down very low in his stance to get the leg strength to get off the floor. Bouncy he is not. Glued to the floor he is not. He and the right coaches will figure out the right formula for a totally able guy.
 
Faried played a good game in rookie year in playoffs. Thats pretty good, but come on, Daniel Gibson made show in his rookie year against detroit, where is he now?
Tyreke evans made a great impact in his first year, now he seems like he is a good player but not as good as he was hyped in first year.

We cant look at one game or even one year and think he will be better than Kanter or whatever. I didnt see Faried much, but it is nonsense to compare him to Kanter, Kanter has much more upside and potential here. Plus Faried had 4 yrs of college carrier, it is normal that he had a good transition, Kanter didn't play any competitive game for almost 2 years until this summer. Give this kid some credit. It is not easy to grab significant mins behind Favors , Millsap and Big Al , and he had some pretty good performances throughout the season especially when he got higher amount of playing time.

Kanter is not a good back up or energy guy coming off the bench, he must play, that's what he need, he will get better and better if he plays enough.
