Why not call nico for the 1st pick? If he's serious about a championship window in the next 2-3 year to maximize AD/Kyrie/Klay, Lauri fits their timeline more than Cooper.
Cooper is not a good fit on this mavs team. Terrible spacing. Zero playmaking. Cooper has to force his way through a broken offense. Not saying it can't be done but it's gonna take time and they can kiss their "championship window" goodbye.

Because they can get better than Lauri if they trade #1. I think Giannis to Dallas could seriously be in play.

Not only did he prove to be an elite 3pt shooter he shot tons of threes in defenders eyes and still shot a great %. Dude is special and that one great skill has the ability to propel him to heights most in this class can’t dream of. Hes way slept on here at Jazzfanz
Kyrie is out nearly all of next season so it’s AD Thompson and Flagg

i disagree. you have a much better shot at hitting on the draft with the higher picks. i would definitely do this to increase our odds. #2 or 3 definitely a better chance at being a building block then #21. not sure what you're thinking. and trading Lauri gives us the opportunity to tank w/o retribution next year...
The diff between 2 (Harper) and 3 is big for me. So, sure, id love 2 and 5.
I think there are guys that could pop at 21 as much as a dude at 3. Thats my thoughts. Feel free to think im a moron.

The only reason I’d trade Lauri for Ace is it gets us off the money and and helps the tank without trying too hard.
I like the idea of the Sixers trade, just don't think it's likely that they do it. I also like the Spurs trade, and maybe that would work if they lose out on Giannis. I'm definitely think we need to trade Lauri now, and we need as many swings as possible at these high potential picks in the 2-5 range.
It all depends on how much those teams want to try and win now.
I think it makes more sense for the Spurs, but thats just me. If Im the Sixers I completely understand being scared to pull a trigger on any deal given how unreliable Embiid's health is.

And maybe they are, but you don’t give away your leverage right at the very start. I’m not convinced that they’ll trade out of #2, or that the Jazz should give up what it likely takes to get there.

Windy also said they may move it for someone not named Giannis. So lots of signals for now.
I think where this could turn weird is if Harper isn't keen coming off the bench or being 2nd or 3rd in the guard pecking order early and he signals such to the Spurs.

Who do you bench in that case? Neither Fox nor Castle will be happy coming off the bench for a rookie. Or do you bench Vassell and do some crazy 3 guard lineup thing.
