Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Maybe, but the leaker said the Heat already delivered a trade proposal for the 'big fish' and the other team wanted final offers by today. Hence, the public reports of the Heat submitting trade proposals for Mitchell this week.

There were no reports of an offer being submitted or revised for Durant. Those trade scenarios are being discussed as we speak. KD is their new #1 priority.
If Don is the player he was referring too and Miami has an offer on the table, plus he requested a trade, why wouldn't it be public information? Seems like letting that news out would benefit the Jazz tremendously since we could get offers from multiple teams if he is seeking to be traded. Not sure how we'd benefit from keeping his request private and only negotiating with one team.

At this point, I think we shouldn't derail the thread. There is some evidence that Donovan may have requested a trade, named Miami and NY as his preferred destinations, and those two teams are acting on it with proposals.

We'll have to wait and see if this gets confirmed.

So in conclusion:
• ICC posts that the Heat are in on a big fish with multiple years left on his deal and submitted an offer on Monday but were in a bidding war with another team.
• Chris Haynes confirms that Miami/Phoenix have known about Durant wanting out for a week.
• Jake Fichser confirms that KD has been pissed at the team and perception around the league has been PHX/MIA where his two preferred landing spots.
• ICC says that he wasn't away of a Donovan Mitchell trade offer until today, texted his source and confirmed it was real as a backup plan to Durant.
• ICC quotes the tweet about Woj preferring PHX/MIA and says that the information his boy gave him was correct.
• Greg Sylvander confirms that Miami made an offer for Don but it was a backup plan because they're laser focused on Durant

Which means that there is evidence Don was the player he was referring too and requested a trade because one SLC reporter said Miami made an offer a few days ago.

Just seems odd to me that he'd be celebrating this tweet saying his boy was right with his information if it was about Donovan and not Durant.

IceColdCubano's source has been leaking a lot of information on a lot of topics. Most of it appears to be pretty accurate so far. You're just choosing to ignore a few of the posts that I'm specifically referring to that synch up with the trade offers from the Heat for Mitchell.

If Don is really trying to force his way out with a trade request, why hasn't he or the team gone public with it? Is the team just dead set on only dealing with Miami to move him?

So maybe Don and KD both requested a trade at the same time with two teams as their preferred destination on Monday and that team was the Heat. We'll just see what happens.

If Don's camp made a trade request, it would have been made about a week ago--e.g., around the time of the draft.

KD's trade request happened this morning, even if teams were preparing for it as a contingency earlier.

Don's preferred teams are (allegedly) #1 Miami and #2 New York maybe, but it's not clear who the 2nd team is.

KD's preferred teams are reportedly #1 Phoenix and #2 Miami.

I just don't really see how he would've demanded a trade and it just stayed under wraps for days. If he wanted out considering his CAA relationship/Woj, wouldn't it make sense to put public pressure on the organization rather than to do it in the shadows? Also wouldn't it make more sense for the team to negotiate with multiple teams instead of just Miami per Don's request?

Players quietly approach their front office and ask for trades all the time. Rodney Hood did it. Dante Exum did it. Only if the agents leak it does it go public.

CAA may not want a trade request to go public. If it doesn't go well, then Donovan's camp looks foolish. It also can create a backlash with fans and Donovan cares about his squeaky clean public image. It's a pretty bold move to ask for a trade with three full years left before the player option.

We’ll see what happens but ICC confirmed his boy was referring to Durant.
