I saw the list and someone didn't see Parker... Jabari has to get at least one deal from the Jazz at some point... I mean it has to happen.

There are teams - Kings (cough) Kings - That might willing sign up for a one year rental to take their chances and then trade him later if they had to. Say they come with #4 (assuming we love Ivey), Davion, 2023 1st and 2025 1st (2027 too?)... and Barnes or pick swaps. They may justify it saying that 2023 they will be good cuz they got Don.. then they can sell him off to NY and get back like 3 picks so who cares about 2025 and the pick swaps. You can sell off Barnes if the plan was to rebuild and get additional capital.

One thing I know... Kings will Kang and eff stuff up... so just keep calling em every day.
I'd take this deal all day if I'm Utah

And I don't think its truly out there... just throwing a hypothetical. Even if it was Davion, Barnes, #4, and 2023 1st I'd do it. The godfather offer is slightly more than that imo.

Also saw the picks with Don and Jimmy and Bam... apparently a BDay party with their mutual trainer... BUT I really expect Miami to put the behind the scenes full court press to get him. Riley is so aggressive and this is really their window. I don't care for Herro, but I wonder if Miami can swipe the #4 for him and maybe Strus?

I think the Miami package is not good as is... but they have a way of spinning straw into gold.

I think Denver is trying to save money while also maximizing the current era.
Green was terrible in the playoffs, I like the trade for Denver. Frees up almost $7M for them to use in free agency and now they have 2 first round picks.

I don't mind the trade for Denver either. They get closer to the luxury line and they get a first to use right now when Jokic is in his prime.

I'd rather trade Don to Sacramento for #4, #37, Davion Mitchell, Harrison Barnes, and Richaun Holmes

Depends on the pick protection. I don't dislike it... but I think that pick is likely lightly protected.

Green wasn't great, but they have so few actual NBA players that its tough to give up anyone. I bet one of these picks is moved and I will bet they ditch some more salary at some point. Their owners are notoriously cheap.

They can replace Green with someone younger using that $7M contract they freed up if they go after someone like Jalen Smith, Tauren Prince, or Otto Porter.

I don't love either package... but I'd prefer the Kings one too. The Heat package could have Herro, and up to 3 heat firsts... If they can turn Herro into #4 (not sure his value is that high) then I might do #4 and the Heat picks. Heat just have a way of making **** happen though.

Green averaged 4 ppg on 37% FG in the playoffs last year, ideally they'll be getting MPJ and Murray back next year, so with MPJ back the need for Green reduces tremendously. They can also replace him with someone using the $7M that they freed up. And could potentially package 21/30 to move up in the draft if there's someone that they love. Barton and Morris are really the only two guys they can move.

Those Heat picks will likely be late first rounders, not really a fan of Herro either.

I'd probably prefer to trade him to NY if the package was built around Barrett, #11, and future picks with light protections.

Yep. I feel the same way.

If NY can turn Fournier or any of their other players into draft assets, that would make the trade more ideal. I doubt they trade Randle if they are bringing in Don, but maybe they do.

They could trade Barrett, #11, a 2023 1st (NY or Dallas), a 2025 1st, a 2027 1st and whatever they get from trading Fournier or anybody else on the roster.

He was terrible... not sure he was healthy.

The move today didn't free anything up though... its simply the owners saving money. They have the taxpayer MLE and not much else to improve the roster. I don't hate the trade at all... but this was them taking some future risk to save some money... its good to get #30 back. Its a calculated risk... its not bad and its saving some money... but it does put them in range to move Morris or Barton and slip under the tax.

I’m a fan of Herro but we would need so many more picks because outside of him the players in the package are terrible. I want no part of that Robinson contract.
