Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

People thought my KCP/Deni trade for Mike was a little rich. I think its kinda close depending on Washington's goals. Reports are he has value.

I did think of a three team deal:

- We send Bogey/Mike
- We get Deni/KCP/Devonte Grahamn/Hayes or Kira Lewis (this piece I'm struggling with)

-NO sends out Grahamn/Lewis/8
-NO gets Bogey/10

-Was sends 10/kcp/Deni
-Was gets Mike/8

So they move up a hair to get the guy the want and get the pg they need. I don't love it and there is some additional value that needs to come from NO... but there are some iterations of a deal that could be made there.

yeaaaah!!!!!

Wiggins is showing how rewarding it can be to get a second/third draft type of guy. I really think these are the types of players the Jazz need to target.

But what if our culture is as ****** as Minnesota? I kid... maybe?

NAW was kind of a second draft guy... he had that one good game or stint when he was focused on only shooting threes and defending and he was okayish... but then he immediately tried to do more and it ended comically bad with him in Quin's doghouse.

I've touted Deni as a guy I'd go get. He hasn't been a bust but I think he has shown some really good signs and has potential to take a huge leap forward. I haven't thought of a lot of guys in this type of category. Shooting from the hip:

- THT - Might be a bad fit or he might just suck.
- Lonnie Walker - Free agent and still young.
- Aaron Nesmith - He's never gotten enough consistent run to get comfy with his shot. I'm always amazed at how big he is when he plays... just looks like a big wing that shot it well once upon a time.
- Troy Brown Jr. - Has had some good stints... still young.

If we didn't have favorable media coverage we'd be seen as a MIN/SAC level of franchise....or we will be soon :(

I like those guys, not terrible. I wouldn't be scared to go for some older guys either. I'm willing to go after anyone who I think can improve enough to be seen in a higher regard one year later. Off the top of my head I'd add:

Mo Bamba
John Collins
Myles Turner

Also need to hit on some GP2 type successes. The productive journeymen that have a flaw and they bounce around... then they fit with a good/smart team and everyone wonders wtf happened.

Alize Johnson is the guy I'd bet on in this category. Productive dude... plays hard. Maybe use him as a weirdo roll man like Brown and Payton. His shot might come around... shot it okay in the G League and college. Just isn't asked to do it.

Alize Johnson is my winner of the GP2 "Player That Should Be in a Good Team's Rotation But Somehow is a Free Agent" Award

Wtf are you talking about?! You’re an idiot complete moron if you see this in the likes of the kings or wolves. STFU!!

Wiggins situation is an outlier though. The Warriors were only able to afford him because Durant threw them a bone when he allowed them to S&T him and get Russell in return. And the only reason the Wolves gave up Wiggins + a pick for DLo was because DLo/KAT are tight and they were concerned that KAT was going to ask out.

They were able to acquire Wiggins and the #2 pick for DLo but again they were only able to absorb his max deal because of Durant. Wiggins was also basically a non-factor during his first two years with the Warriors and they missed the playoffs both years. As the 3/4 option on an elite team he has shined in the playoffs though.

Other names:
Jonathan Isaac is risky but he's someone that I think could take off in the right situation.

Josh Jackson is a former top 5 pick that has great physical gifts, averaged 13 ppg and was All-Rookie coming into the league, no serious injuries just hasn't gotten much burn.

Jalen Smith another young former top 10 pick who has flashed but hasn't lived up to his draft position.

Alize Johnson and Kris Dunn. No more “Quin needs guys who can shoot.”

I’d be all-in on Isaac. They may want to get off his deal. If you send out Mike somewhere and take back Isaac, you cut our tax by quite a bit.
