Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I don't think it's difficult to find the deal zone for a Rudy-ATL trade. They are an obvious destination, and the trade package makes sense rumors or not. Of course it's going to be Capela+Collins as the base, then sweetener from ATL. We've been discussing this for months.

For sure. We have discussed multiple different packages that are just minor tweaks for months. Maybe we aren’t just some dumb fans after all.

Now, the interesting thing is if we got 16 could we re-route that with Conley to Washington for 10?

This package is better, but I'll have a hard time really caring what happens if we make this pivot. Our defense is going to be terrible. This isn't rectified by a new system and a few new guys who will guard the perimeter. You're not going to be able to build around Donovan and take that big of a step back defensively and be serious. I think there'd be more buzz and there are things that look smoother, but I don't believe we'd be anywhere near being a serious contender. But we'd have the feel-goods and it would tickle Ryan.

I think the Jazz and Hawks know what they want and don't want. If I were to guess, Utah is trying to find a home for Capela. Looking for a 3rd team.

Our defense is going to change no matter what due to a new coach. We don't even know if Rudy Gobert is going to put up the same numbers or have the same impact on the game without Quin.

If you got this and #16 I think its a definite yes from Atlanta... if they add the Charlotte pick they own and #44 or Huerter for Bogey swap then I think its a definite yes from us.

Actually quite the contrary I think we want Hunter included.

Tony is really pumping that we want Hunter included.

Rudy + Bogey for Hunter/Collins/Capela/16

Come on man, Rudy is still going to be the same guy defensively. His impact would be even bigger defensively if the team he was on had good perimeter defenders.

Right....Capela+Collins+16 sounds like an outstanding deal for ATL. I think the Jazz will push for another pick, JJ, or even Hunter. ATL has a variety of assets to get it done.

If we're looking for Huerter (who I really like), I'd try to see if we can move Conley instead of Bogey. Maybe do the WAS deal and send KCP to ATL. We get Bogdan/Huerter.

I think Bogey is easier to trade and more valuable if we keep him than Conley. I'd try to opportunistic as possible with Conley.

Oh, okay. Rudy is the only uncertain variable with a coaching change.

I may get destroyed for this but I think Capela could provide 80-85% of what Rudy does for us.

Offensively, maybe. Capela has been much worse with a much better passer.

Defensively...we're going to swap places with ATL. Not going to pretty at all.
