Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Tony Jones on Checketts show said it's not a slam dunk that Rudy gets moves and the Jazz may very well keep him, but if he does get moved, Atlanta is the most likely destination. Says the Jazz really want Hunter and the Hawks really want to keep him...says maybe the Hawks will add another first to try and get a deal done. The Jazz have durability concerns about all of Hunter, Collins and Capella.

He doesn't think a Jazz/Bulls deal is likely because the Bulls don't have much the Jazz want...thinks it would probably take Patrick Williams and 3 first round picks.

He also said he hasn't heard anything about the Wizards being willing to give up the 1oth pick for Conley, but he did say if they trade Mike or Bojan they will likely try to trade there way into the draft.
Hunter is so average imo... I hope that is our line we are using to get more out of them for allowing them to keep him.

Two often injured bigs that don't defend and two mid 1st rookies. Don to NYK confirmed.
(whispers with his hand cupped to his mouth) He's leaving either way.

Good. It wouldn't be a vote of confidence for a front office and administration stating that their priority, above all, is to win next year, and then choose the option that makes it worse.
I'm not sure... it might be us realizing if we don't have Rudy we won't win enough to get one of our guys to the AS game. It also might mean that other teams aren't super excited about adding Rudy at his number.

I think it simply means they couldn't get acceptable value for him.

Oh I agree. I don't want to trade him just to trade him. I was just addressing those who want us to hold out for something that might not ever be offered.

In my personal opinion, we risk so much by bringing back Rudy to a brand new coach while his value is at it's all time highest.
Id argue the opposite, I really want to see what Rudy/DM look like under a new coach. I think Rudy's value will be pretty evergreen next year, maybe slightly less. People know what they're getting with him.

I’m sure we could do that. I do wonder what is really going on with the Hunter interest. We may really be trying to get him especially with how hard Tony is hyping him up to fans.
I think its legit... but if you asked me if I'd rather have Heurter and 16 or Hunter... give me Red Velvet and #16.

So the Jazz are only getting one first round pick. Just goes to show you how bad the Jazz are at negotiating. I remember us giving up two first for Conley and Al Jefferson. My mind is not as good as it use to be but I think that is true? hahahahaha
