Sure sounds like Toronto is interested in Gobert.

Depends on how far and how much certainty we have. He may miss out on landing somewhere at the BAE and getting a minimum deal. Unless we are on the verge of something we likely hear today. There is no reason for Juancho to not push back his guarantee date. More time to work out a trade, more time for Juancho to get lucky and get paid 3x.

I think he shot down the back to Europe rumors at one point. Could be misremembering. I think he is a minimum guy and i think he'd have a shot at minutes so maybe just do a 2 year minimum with second year as Player Option so he can get back on the market if his value recovers some. House and Juan could find BAE somewhere but its not much more than the minimum... so role would factor in.I think Juancho is strictly a minimum guy in NBA free agency. I also remember talks about him wanting to go back to Europe. If we don’t hear anything, my working assumption is that his GD has been pushed back.
Exactly what I want. If we strike out on Claxton, get BambaHere is my pure speculation: The Jazz want OG and GTJ in a Gobert trade, and they want John Collins in a separate deal. So those would be the Jazz's players at 2 - 4.
If the Jazz move Royce to Brooklyn, it will be for Nic Claxton to play at the 5.
Hence the goal would be to end up with Mitchell/Trent Jr./OG/Collins/Claxton
One thing not discussed... what if we did Royce+NAW for Heurter... in the three team deal SA could eat NAW's salary since they are a cap space team. Shaves the Hawks payroll a bit and gives them some roster flexibility. I would do it.
That looks like a 7 seconds or less lineup. Add in the Utah landscape our main objective would be to run teams off our home floor. I wouldn't be mad with that line up. If the Jazz move Royce to Brooklyn, it will be for Nic Claxton to play at the 5. Or maybe the Jazz would trade O'Neale to bring back a pick to package with Bogey for Collins.
Hence the goal would be to end up with Mitchell/Trent Jr./OG/Collins/Claxton. If they can't achieve that, or something close to it, they may blow it up.
We are also discussing it in the free agency thread. For real?
Tobias Harris and Thybulle make almost the exact same amount as Bojan, Royce, Rudy Gay and JuanchoNot sure how that could work out contract-wise. Harris' contract is an albatross and there's still two more seasons of it.
On offense not so much.Thybulle and Gobert on the floor together. That would be a joy to watch on defense.
