They're fundamentally going to have to change the way that they play on both ends. They had the fastest pace in the NBA last season, the Jazz have always played super slow with Rudy. KAT has always been a 5 on both ends now they're basically pigeon holing him into a spot up shooting role and asking him to guard the 3P line exclusively. 35-40 win team tbh.
 
My god this discussion is driving me nuts. If you’d rather have Rudy win a ring than them suck and us get high picks I’m sorry to break it to you… you’re a Rudy fan not a Jazz fan. I hope the Timberwolves implode.

Regarding Rudy’s trade value we got an absolute godfather offer and we literally couldn’t say no to that.

They valued him way higher than other teams but that is literally all you need is one team to value him like he’s supposed to. A lot of variables were in play with this deal too. We wanted McDaniels but they wanted to keep him and we’re willing to add more picks. It was likely an extra 2 picks or so which is a no brainer to me. KAT told their front office that he wants to play PF and they were willing to accommodate him plus they were literally LAST in rim protection last year. Rudy theoretically checks all of the boxes they wanted. He has huge fans in their front office.

We also got all expiring contracts which helps the cap next year as well. We got flexibility back and we refilled our empty asset cupboard all in one single deal.

Now, if we trade Donovan we need to do the same exact thing and find the team that values him the most. We likely can get a similar package and probably more.

He's immature. Big deal. He isn't getting drunk and getting DUIs. He's not beating people up. He's just playing on social media. He butted heads with a guy who was mature enough to touch all the microphones during an uncertain time of a worldwide pandemic. Extremely mature move.

I'm not sure why you guys are so insecure about people being Rudy fans. Alex Smith was one of my football football players ever and I rooted or him on a teama. I've also been a jazz fan since I was a kid playing Jr. Jazz. I can like both
