Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Yeah, KO actually has been elite offensively this year for us. It’s more so of the fact that we settled when we could have squeezed a little more out of both deals.
Second round picks, for example. We only have 2 of those for the next 7 seasons(thanks DL). No reason not to acquire some 2nd round picks from the Bogey trade or Beverley trade.

Also feel like maybe you can do a deal with Memphis.

They need some shooting. Basically middle of the pack in attempts and percentages. Danny Green/1st rounder + one of their minimum salaries for Beasley works.

Toronto really needs some shooting too. Have all their picks. They are at a pivot point imo.

There should be some buyers if we are willing to sell.

Something like this would be intersting.

A future pick in 2024 (Ainge said this draft was better than 2023 in an interview before the season started) and a 2nd rounder from Chicago. You get off Rudy's Gay contract. Temple can be waived at the end of the season as his contract next year is non-guaranteed.

Not a Graham fan at all, but dont think his contract is bad enough to warrant New Orleans giving up an additional first.

You could also just do Temple/Hayes/1st for KO straight up if you didnt want to offload Gay/take on Graham (probably preferable tbh)View attachment 13526
I think If you are offloading KO you would need to get Jaxson Hayes back in the trade.

Bald eagle lol.

Speaking of eagles, I was fishing last monday and while i was walking along the river i looked up and saw a golden eagle diving from about 150 feet up and simultaneously heard a turkey screaming in terror so I hurriedly got my phone out and started recording.
Filmed the Eagle in pursuit of the turkey. They flew across the river and the eagle was closing in and the turkey did the smart thing and just crashed straight into some bushes forcing the eagle to pull up.
I saw the turkey come out of the bushes right next to me.

Then i looked across the river and saw a huge flock (probably 20-30) of terrified turkeys hiding in some bushes. So i decided to try to flush the turkeys out and see if the eagle was still around to attack.

I walked to the edge of the river and started shaking some bushes and got the turkeys to fly. All 20-30 of em. Sure enough the eagle made another appearance but this time didnt have the speed that it had earlier from the dive from above and it had no chance at actually getting any. Pretty cool to see though.

Caught a couple fish that day. A nice sized brown and tiny cutthroat. It snowed the entire time i was there (about 5 hours)
I had a blast

I guess somebody is not a member of team turkey.

Probably saw about 200 turkeys that day and just the one eagle. So figured they are probably doing fine finding food and what not but the eagle might be struggling so i tried to help it out.

The eagle was probably like "dumb ***, I had them right where I wanted them".

I still want one of the 6'-8" guys from the Raptors. They are having a mediocre season. I wonder if they would be willing to shake things up and deal someone like OG by the time we get to the offseason.

Just have a gut feeling Ainge is going to pull off a fairly big deal around the draft considering he also has all those picks to work with.

Saddiq Bey's name came up in trade rumors again. It seems weird to me that they are going with two bigs and have prioritized Bagley over him. Curious if they think his rookie year shooting was an outlier or just if he has issues behind the scenes or something. Maybe they don't want to pay him... its just kinda weird.

He hit 38% of threes as a rookie, 35% last year, and 30% this year. If it was something like THT and the Brooklyn pick for Bey and Noel (as an expiring) that is the price I'd consider paying. I've not watched him a ton so maybe they just know he sucks.

The situation in Chicago is one to watch. They lose like 3-4 straight and I can see them pivoting... even after I told @fishonjazz they wouldn't.

They have a lot of interesting guys having good years or guys that will be FA. Javonte Green, Derrick Jones Jr. is having a great season and is 25 (how?), Ayo (FA next year), and Caruso if they tear things down. I think the Lakers either nab Beal or Lavine with Westbrook and their picks (maybe Derozan). Magic are the real winners here as they are going to nab Wagner, Carter Jr., and another top 10-ish pick for Vucevic... unbelievable deal there.

I was saying their best course of action is to blow it up.

Issue is the pick they owe to Orlando is only top 4 protected. Kinda a death sentence for the GM if they blow it up then give a pick in the 5-9 range to the Magic.

Well, if they could somehow get the worst record it would almost certainly guarantee them a top-4 pick with the nightmare scenario being falling to 5 which is the lowest they could go.

If they get in the bottom 4 its basically a 50/50 shot that they keep the pick. It would be hard for them to get there unless they tear it down in the next few weeks. I think they have to wait a month to trade Zach but could just bench him as he is constantly hurt.

Its a pretty ****** spot for them... I bet they just push forward. But they are definitely a team to watch.

I just looked actually you have a 47.9% chance of landing the 5th pick if you get the worst record in the league. That’s ****ing wild.

I think getting vucevic was a big mistake. I kind of feel like your center needs to be able to defend the paint. Even in todays game that still carries a lot of importance. I mean if your 4 is a great defender or something then whatever. Plus the warriors of a few years ago didn't need their center to defender the paint but I think they were the ultimate outlier.
