Trade THE **** out of Al Jefferson.

Al Jefferson is a good player: 18/9/2. He's a great 2nd option. He should be playing PF most of the time, not C. He's a building block.

Why would we want to trade him?

A great 2nd option? He was a second option here and we couldn't accomplish ****. Dude's been a loser, a BIG-TIME loser wherever he's played and I attribute that to his conditioning, his basketball iq, and most of all his inability to play team ball. Dude is the blackest of black holes. No pun intended.

Good? He's a volume shooter, doesn't draw fouls, can't pass out of a double team, does nothing in transition, rebounds at a mediocre rate. And all that for $13mil....oh boy.

I think one domino in the chain of Deron's unhappiness was realizing that his Robin was a big (but not big enough), sloppy, dullard with no fundamentals.

New Jersey didn't have any cap room. They'd have to pull in a 3rd team and give them something of value like the Golden State pick.

Trading with a different team for a better player was probably the goal, but apparently this was the best offer available. Too bad Curry for D-Will didn't make any more sense to GS than playing who they already have.

Troy Murphy. I'm sure Brendan Wright isn't going to be the holdup of their most important acquisition of... ever? ason Kidd?

Big Al has played like our best player the last couple weeks. Only trade him if you get hibbert and George or Granger or something like that

We couldve had this trade expand to a 3-teamer as this wouldve worked:
UTAH: Curry/Favors/VladRad
NJ: DWill/BWright/Gadzuric
GS: Harris/Murphy/Elson/2 1st(s)

but I guess GS isnt interested in trading Curry or KOC likes Harris & those 2 picks.

Or they never called. If GSW would trade Curry for those two picks, the Jazz could still get him.

Total agreement with Numberica. Its not a coincidence that as we get crappier as a team, Jefferson's numbers get better.

Jefferson is not perfect, but people complain way too much about him. Poor rebounding rate? Our former starting C, Okur, never rebounded at the rate Jefferson does now. He never challenged shots as well as Al. Al is an upgrade over Okur at C. The problem is, we got downgraded at PF with Millsap replacing Booz, we don't have that reliable 6th man (which Millsap was last year, and Okur is injured this year), we don't have a good starting SG (Matthews was last year), and we don't have a 3 point threat and a good 7th man in rotation (Korver was last year). That's why we are worse this year. Not because we have Jefferson starting at C instead of Okur. That's probably the only upgrade that we made. Trading him now would be another idiotic mistake (although not nearly as bad as giving away Deron, and not even dumping Okur in the process.)

Dude is a dud. His tradition of losing is not a coincidence and if we're rebuilding, we have even less than no use for him.

How this Deron trade didn't contain a salary dump for Memo and/or Jefferson astounds me. But not as much as losing the two things left that gave this team an identity, especially since they seem to have been the reason both are now gone.

Send Harris and Jefferson to Dallas for Caron Butler's expiring, Beaubois, and some picks. If we're going to be a faceless mess, let's do it right.

Why arent you the GM?
