Considering Amare...
1.) Has 3 years and $65 million remaining on his contract
2.) Is past his prime and has had both microfracture surgery as well as a bad back
3.) Will be entering his 11th NBA season and has already logged over 24,000 career minutes
4.) Is widely considered "untradeable" in the Knicks' quest to improve their team
combined with the fact the Jazz...
1.) Have a young core featuring two bigmen selected #3 overall that have barely scratched the surface of their potential
2.) Are positioning themselves to have MASSIVE cap space in 2013
...and this idea of trading for Amare is an early favorite for "Most ridiculous Jazzfanz trade proposal" of the 2012 offseason.

Anyone else find it funny the 3 of the big PF FA a few years back (Boozer, Amare, and Bosh) are all considered crappy and overpaid? Boozer and Amare were products of system basketball and great PG's, Bosh was a product of being overused on a bad team.
