Traeger grill

My grill was $500. There is a quantifiable difference it makes. Like, it's insane how good the first few usages have been for me. Best bbq I've ever had.

Some people really like food and cooking. You must be a huge douche and/or jealous to laugh at people who spend money on grilling. So edgy, dude.
Whoa, I must've touched a nerve. I wasn't even trying to call anyone out in here. I love cooking, especially outdoors. I just have some friends who spend crazy amounts of money of stuff like this that they rarely use, or use in such a way that they'd get the same results from a regular old charcoal grill.

Let's go into a thread about grilling and **** on grilling and then be surprised by a reaction.

Yeah, you touched a nerve, dude. I'm triggered.

Yeah, I wasn't taking a **** on 'grilling.' I think you need to work on your reading comprehension.

So I did pork ribs based on recipe from Traeger book, kept them for 2 hrs in 325F temperature. Ended up a bit too dry. I think 1hr 45 min may have been enough.... Will keep experimenting:)

Get a rib rack.

Smoke setting for a couple hours, 225-250 for the remainder (3-4 hours). Don’t foil wrap, don’t spray with juice, just leave em. If you want, you can put some sauce on with about 5 minutes left and turn the heat up. I prefer just a dry rub so I don’t.

You’ll love it.

I have a Traeger. Very much enjoy it. It’s easy, doesn’t take a lot of hands on time, makes it really hard to ruin meat.

I got mine as a gift, don’t think I would buy one. There are other options that are significantly cheaper with similar quality.

And don’t open/close to check them! It’s low, slow, and you won’t wreck it. Just let it be.

Did you use grilling grate? What temperatures and for how long you kept them?
I put it on at 420, right over the flame for 4 and 1/2 minutes on each side. I like steaks medium rare. I didn't use a grate, just the rack inside my grill.

Some other tips. Leave your steak out of the fridge for at least 30 minutes before cooking it. (Room temperature is very important.) Give it a nice massage with salt, pepper and grape seed oil. After you grill it, let it sit 5 minutes. I also put butter on top of each side while grilling. Also, only flip it once!
