Barkley could score, Draymond can run the offense, Rodman had tremendous leaping ability, Wallace was a physical specimen with long arms.

Again... trevor booker is a very average NBA player that is playing smaller than the normal size for his position. The guy was great when he played here 5 years ago, but why would we need him here?

Jesus Christ, what is your peoples facination with average NBA players?

You might want to re-read my post if you thought that you addressed my point.

What don't you understand about the nature of what an out-of-rotation player is? You think we're going to get an above-average player on the free agent market in September, or do you believe - based on 0 evidence - that Bradley is better? Does Bradley possess any qualities that makes him useful in his role; that of a player to be counted on in emergencies and in the locker room?

The league is also of full of non hall of fame "underdersized" powerforwards.

The current average size of the NBA PF is 6'9, Booker is not playing smaller than the "normal size" for his position.

He's also going to be like our third string guy at that spot, so I don't think anyone here is fascinated by him.

It's literally that he could serve in a pinch because I know he's a pro and hustles; that he might have just enough oomph in him to act as a curve-ball in his limited role; that when he doesn't play NBA minutes, he's going to make practices better; and he's going to strengthen the team culture by - as far as anyone anywhere can tell - being everyone's best friend and rep the **** out of the team. That is actually about the most you can hope for in a 10th-15th man.
 
It's no secret that Trevor Booker is a free agent. The simple fact that the Jazz decided to go with Bradley as the 3rd string is proof enough that he isnt worth being a 3rd string on this team. Most of the other teams in the NBA also have passed on him, it could possibly be because the guy isnt as good as you guys think.

Guys who are good dont make it to the end of summer to get signed

Hey, 'Melo is available too. He should be our 15th guy cuz, you know, we don't have anyone that can create a shot if we need to. I remember he had some great moments 5 years ago.

By this logic a team should never sign a player that few teams have interest in. Joe Ingles obviously should have never been considered, I mean, he was cut by the Clippers! He must just be a total scrub.

Totally different scenario from what Ingles went through and Booker is going through. Ingles was virtually unknown and trying to get into the league, Booker has been in the league for years.

You bring up a scenario that isnt the same. Booker is a known commodity.

Jesus, really... let it go guys, Booker was good for us 5 years ago and was fun to watch, but he doesn't belong on this team.

I'm just pointing out the flaw in the logic that a players worth is solely determined by how many teams are interested in them.


I honestly don't care that much one way or the other on whether we sign Booker or not, but you've done a really poor job of coming up with reasons for why we shouldn't.
