February is only the second month in his career when he's posted above 40% FG.

Not really. Is Dante "ready" to start? Not at all. He's there because Snyder HAD to make a move with Trey. Burke was ruining the offense and Hayward wasn't even getting touches for long stretches of the 1st quarter. I remember so many times thinking to myself, "damn, Gordon, you're a max player - our best option on offense. Why are you non-existent to start the game?" And then I'd watch and see that it was due to Trey pretending he was Russell Westbrook.Welp, that prediction was a little off. And how about Burke? Not that I would have disagreed with Sir Stifle at the time.
Considering how much DeMarre Carroll improved as a shooter under Snyder's coaching, I'm willing to back off and give him a chance to elevate his game.
And even at that, his total FG percentage during this "hot" period has still been 40% - not nearly high enough.
If there anyone here that thinks that Trey Burke REALLY is our point guard of the future? He's a high volume shooter with a dismal %. If you guys are saying, "well... he's getting more assists", do you really want a PG that dishes 3 assists a game? He's fine for the 2nd unit, and as a 6th man off of the bench. Sure, I'll concede the fact that without Kanter we need more scoring, but when Burke is on the court with Favors and Hayward, forget about it. He just ignores them on offense. He's a good 2nd unit, first option off of the bench, but a starter for the future? You have got to be kidding.
