Trey Burke... Keep or trade?

See Dragic and Bledsoe. I think they can play together. As others have pointed out, different skill sets. If not, we can decide later after it plays out.

I remember how bad the Jazz were when Trey was out at the beginning of the season, and how much better they were when he started playing. A guy who can make the team that much better is a better PG than many of you are giving him credit for.

Certainly deserves a chance with a better coach and surrounding team... as well as a year of experience under his belt. It would be really stupid to trade him now unless you could get a haul of major proportions, which seems unlikely.

Crazy how your team gets better once you get 3 of your top seven players back. Saying it was only Burke who made a difference is like saying Kanter sucked as a starter.

Cannot believe anyone would trade Trey right now. Runner up to the runner up ROY and clutch as can be. We are quick to agree
that Corbin was clueless.... Why would we part with a good, potentially really good young PG?

Exum and Burke is our backcourt for the next 5 years

Fixed.

Well, look at who he replaced. We had abysmal players in at PG before Trey came back. Last year our PG lineup may have been the worst in Jazz history.

So, if you trade Burks, who are you going to roll with as a second string even if Exum turns all world? Exum isn't going to play 82 games at 40 minutes for a few years yet.

Now we are trading Burks? Honestly? Trey is a good backup, and that is probably what he will end up being. I just don't know if he's willing to being one.

Edit: And with the way the Jazz are, they will likely keep trey as the starter for too long. Playing Burke and Exum at the same time does not seem like a good combo to me.

I think he will go tony parker on this league. And trading either burks or burke should make a mass go akmvp on the jazz.

Trade Burke. Honestly, trade everyone not named Greg. We could get more value back in the 2021 draft.

Yeah, playing Burke and Exum would be too much like playing Kobe and some other random point guard. Does not make a whole lot of sense when you want to finish with the 8 seed.

Correction :)

I agree

I said I do not know either way about Exum. Clown.

Well, since ncoloradojazz has been right about every Jazz pick and thinks Exum is going to be a bust, better keep Trey.

I guess we're just just not used to the concept of a "combo guard" because the Jazz have rarely had one. The closest situation Jazz had may have been when Fisher and Deron were on the team. Between the 1/2 there are 96 mins/per. If Burke, Exum and Burks are the guards, that gives 32 mins for each.

Plus, we have no clue what is going to happen in negotiations with Alec, or even Hayward yet. WE have no idea IF Neto will be a competent PG. For that matter, we don't know if Burke or Exum will be decent starting PG's yet. Maybe we should just let everyone play a few games. I think after summer league we'll have the answer.
