Trey Burke v Houston Rockets Highlights

It is so obvious that the offense runs better with him controlling the ball. I am happy with his play since coming back from his injury. I wasn't down on him due to his summer league performance but the last game even exceeded my expectations.

Hopefully, he will get more accustom to his teammates and average closer to 10 assists a game. I want to remind people that Ty pushed for the Jazz to draft the kid.

I honestly don't see Trey as the type to ever average around 10 assists per game. Looks for his shot too much to do that IMO.

Not that that's a bad thing...just how I see it.

You need teammates that can consistently hit shots to average 10 apg. Don't expect those numbers anytime soon from trey.

The part I liked most about his game is how he had no problem taking it to Dwight. There were probably 4 or 5 times in that video that he scored on Dwight Howard. He made it look easy.

the Dwight drives were the best parts, that is impressive, he is not afraid, seems to know his skills.
with him getting better

WE ALL just say BYE BYE to- Wiggins, Parker, Randle. we will see.

I'm not worried about the lack of FTs yet. He's a rookie, not getting calls, and doesn't really know how to draw them yet. He'll get there. He may never draw fouls like Westbrook or Rose due to his more Human-Level-Athleticism, but he'll make up for it in other areas.

Chris Paul not athletik ? That dude dunked over Howard at his prime. Burke will never be as fast and athletik as Paul is.

18 shots 21 points, you would kill BIG-AL for that.

While this account makes a good point, it of course doesn't take into consideration that Trey just finished his - what - 5th game (?) and not his 8th season or that when Trey produces, it actually helps the team instead of bends the entire team around stagnant ogre ball?

Anyway, kid seems good. Makes exceptionally good decisions for his age/experience level. His entire game is predicated on making a jumper so hopefully he keeps doing that (I think he can). I'll criticize his inability to get to the line if he doesn't improve by the end of the year (though that is commonly a trait a player innately has and doesn't improve). He's unafraid but he's not terribly physical, either.

Yeah, but I can remeber games wer AL had most points, most assits, most rebounds and also most blocks, but the forum still complaining about "AL Ball." Yeah Burke is just 21 but last year AL also just was 26, thats pretty young too for a BIG compared to the pointguard position. With 22 BIG-AL averaged 22 points 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Hell, what an underrated player AL jefferson was.

28. And we would not have killed Al for a TS% of .583 (including one halfcourt shot).

Waaaaay too early to be concerned about Trey's efficiency. He's been decent pulling up (.471 eFG%...a tad better than Steph Curry), creating for teammates on drives (7.6 team ppg on 5.7 drives per game...this likely includes pick and rolls), and scoring out of the pick and roll (1.07 PPP). He's been poor spotting up (.386 eFG% per NBA tracking stats; 0.89 PPP per Synergy Sports) and scoring in transition (0.87 PPP), but given his stroke off the dribble, and the ease of converting in transition, I suspect those numbers will go up.

Seriously, those early pick and roll returns are awesome.

Chris dunk on side of Howard. As a PG dunking near Howard is impressive, but it was just ok. I think Burke is slightly less athletic than Paul in his prime.
