Trey Burke. What more do you need?

Main problem I have with Trey is his unwillingness to trust the system. The ball "sticks" with him much more than other players. Locke mentioned this in his podcast as well that Quin isn't too happy with how Burke isn't letting the ball go as much as he'd like.

Even with last night, I felt the ball was moving much better in the 2nd unit than the 1st.

No need to get Stauskas. We have Hood who can be our 3pt specialist and has shown an interest and effort on being a defensive stopper. Has some BBIQ as well. I know I am being a little bit homer about the guy but at least I am not at Fish level.

But in Quin's system there's no reason you couldn't have Hayward, Hood, and Stauskas on the floor at the same time.

I like the idea of getting Stauskas, but he doesn't solve the need for a perimeter defensive specialist, that's for sure.

I need some nasty! Gimme some nasty! Sorry couldn't help it...

I would love Stauskas to be here. It's just not a need at this point. Just get a 3&D before you do. Would they accept Burke and GSW 2017 pick? I don't think they would.

This is definitely true with his outlet passing and tempo.

It's not only a 3nD at the 3 that we need, but at all 3 positions. Having a guy who can lock down the 1, the most competitive position, would do more for this team than a wing stopper.

I'm hoping Exum is that guy. I think he will be.

Hmm. Exum with his lenght could bother lots of PGs. We can also put our defensive SF on PG. It's not like Exum and Hayward can't guard 2 and 3s respectively.

yeah, when I imagine a "perimeter defensive specialist," I imagine a guy who can guard 1 - 3. I'd imagine he'd spend quite a bit of time on the 1, unless matchups dictated a better assignment.

Exum looks promising on defense, FOR SURE. But I want a guy who is ready TOMORROW.

EDIT: Exum needs at least 20lbs before he can be considered a "stopper." Strength matters.

Trade Kanter and a pick for Avery Bradley

We get an elite perimeter defender + solid three point shooter on a meh contract. Boston gets their third big that they can run an offense through.

Burke/Exum
Bradley/Burks
Hayward/Hood
Sign Millsap/Booker
Favors/Gobert

*playoffs*

If Burke busts, let him run his contract out, and give the reigns to Exum (unless Exum grows quickly and makes Burke obsolete a la Ellis+Curry)

Okay, this is the best trade idea I've ever had.

We need Bradley. Boston wants picks, bigs, and room for Smart + Rondo.

Definitely agree with you on that. Disrupt the other team's offense and good things will happen. I think that's why Exum was rated so highly as a prospect. His speed and length will hopefully - as he gains more experience - really translate on the defensive end of the ball. We've already seen him intercept a few passes with his leaping ability.

I know this will put me in the minority, but hear me out....

I'd rather have Burks pushing the break, breaking down the first wall of defense, and kicking it out if there isn't a good option for himself (psst I know he needs serious work on that last part), than having Burke do his thing. This also gives us a ton of length on the perimeter and greater defensive flexibility.

Trade Burke for Stauskas. And, as per Dal, trade Kanter for Bradley.

Burks/Exum
Bradley/Stauskas
Hayward/Hood/Hamilton/Inglis
Booker/Novak
Favors/Gobert

EDIT: soon enough Exum will take over as a starting guard.

3 And D you say,..... get Brandon Rush asap
