What's new

Trey Lyles being held out of practice/Summer League for now

Clippers make sense for a Hibbert landing place.

Would they give us JJ Reddick? Not sure the Jazz would really want him, but that is their only asset they can really offer us within reason unless they are departing with Chris Paul.

The only assets Indiana has worth trading a lottery pick for are: Paul George, George Hill, and Myles Turner.

They don't own anyone else's picks and their own pick should be in the playoffs or late lottery.

Maybe there is a 3rd team in all of this that gets sent Roy Hibbert and we get something from them? Who has been rumored to want Roy Hibbert?

Dallas

The Jazz getting a call from the Clippers makes the most sense.

They learn DeAndre Jordan isn't coming back and they panic, deciding to trade for Hibbert.

I just read a tweet that said "Clippers don’t realistically have the means to trade for Roy Hibbert unless they’re sending out some combination of Lance, Redick, Crawford".

The problem is I want 0 of those players other than Reddick, so the Pacers would have to take Lance (makes sense kind of but would be weird since they let him go) and Crawford (makes sense, but not Crawford and Stephenson). And they get Lyles?

Seems like a huge haul for just dumping a player you don't even want to be on your team. So maybe there is a 4th team?

Maybe that is the deal and the Jazz get George Hill and JJ Redick?

*Stephenson can't be traded with multiple players though*

Also just realized the tweet said combination of 3, so 2 of the 3.

So I guess we get Redick/Hill.

Pacers get Crawford/Lyles.

Clippers get Hibbert and a draft pick from the Pacers?

You don't land PG without parting ways with one (or more) of Favors, Hayward or Gobert. I don't buy it.

Not sure why we would want Redick with Hood our long term SG and Burks locked up. Hill would have to come off the bench for Exum?

I have no idea about Redick either, which is why I speculated a 4th team.

Hill would start.

The question is "If Lyles is such a Jazz type of player - what other team could be so in love with him to want to this badly to trade for him"?

So if he is a jazz type player this means that other teams could not love him too?

If you were to say that Tim Duncan is a spurs type player, then other teams would not want him?

Finally, I think the idea is not that counterparty is in love with Lyles but rather a package including lyles and others.

Well that party must have liked Lyles to a certain extent to have requested that he's included in the deal rather than another player (say Hood)?

Both NYC and Indiana really liked Lyles.

There was rumors NYC was going to take Lyles 4th or trade down for him and Indiana supposedly chose between Lyles or Turner for 11th.

Well yes, there is not much question that there are some things to "like" about lyles. love? Tougher question.

Nah they would know that Hood was too valuable. Young bigs with potential are all the rage, so as an asset he is great. May have nothing to do with Lyles directly, rather the asset that Lyles represents.

Are you talking about his penis?
