Trump bars people from 7 countries entering the US

All this feels just like a dream or a TV show... it's quite amazing that it's actually happening, .. LOL ...

I had a recurring nightmare last night (the one I have every month or so) about me still being at Uni and stressing, and studying for exams... only to wake up and realized that I'm no longer at uni. It felt good waking up.

I still have that same dream too. It's a common recurring dream. I even saw a forum dedicated to it once.

It is kind of comical how Obama did a ton of horrendous **** to Muslims throughout his tenor but people are going insane over Trump banning a handful of countries. Not saying people shouldnt be going insane, but the selective outrage is annoying.

So much this. Now the media cares about the president overreaching his power? Now hey cover everything in total? Where have they been?! It just shows their bias even more. If you're complaining about the overreaching power of Trump now, but you weren't for the past 8 years, then you have to realize this is your own fault. When people said that just a little step leads to a big step, this is why! It didn't start with Trump, it started with Bush, continued with Obama, and nobody in the media has learned a freaking lesson yet.

Do you think obama didn't receive criticism? Lol
Thanks obabma!

I don't think the media has ever treated Obama like they have Trump. Of course he received criticism, but as we're seeing, they clearly didn't comb over everything he did like they are with Trump. And then they tell us they're not biased. Lol.

Everything is a tv show to you...LOL.

The worst thing about the election for me is that most of my friends are liberals. Which means all of the conversations we currently have are "Waaaa Trump is the worst. Waaa he just did the worst thing imaginable!". No substantive, unemotional, conversation can be had any more. If I try, I'll be met with hostility.

Unfortunately the reverse is true with a lot of conservatives as well.

Most at the ends of the spectrum are generally incapable of rational thought and discussion unfortunately. Typically the more extreme the views the less they can even fathom let alone begin to see the views of others.

Pardon my ignorance, but could somebody please tell me what 'expertise' Steve Bannon brings to the National Security Council?

I find the middle to be full of a lot people who struggle to make key distinctions, one way or another. That also leads to inept discussions and shallow depth of view-sharing.

I think there is a difference between straddling the fence and taking views from both sides and rejecting views from boths sides.

For example, I lean right and left on issues. I find my self agreeing with the right more lately though because the left is losing their minds.
For example, I am for clean energy. I dont think there are two truths there. Either the planet is in trouble or it isn't. I believe we should err on the side of caution with that. I think the right would be smart to adopt that and make it part of their platform. So that they would attract more scientist types, and not come off as so stupid. You can believe in a god and still believe in taking care of the planet. I don't know how those two things have becomes opposed to each other.

Another example, I am against abortion. The left should adopt that principal. You don't have to believe in God to believe you are killing a baby. If you are all about human rights, where are the rights of that baby? In general its just a horrible thing to do. I thought the left was supposed to be about love. Where is the love there?

Really there just need a to be a new party. Called the sane party. Ill be the leader.

The middle is filled with generally older, self-satisfied, lazy and hazy thinking people, uneasy about change because life is still pretty good, and quick to dismiss any views they regard as extreme with moralizing platitudes. They sense that the world as they know it is crumbling beneath their feet but if they can just make it to retirement with the nest egg intact maybe they can end up warming their toes on some beach, and when the barbarians come knocking, let it be to the neighbor's door.

I'll just drop this here!

not true. That link Cy shared was from the intercept, they have been blasting Obama NON-STOP on this throughout his presidency. They also blasted him with his recent actions on Yemen. Go look into Jeremy Scahill's book, articles, and upcoming podcasts.

The left slams this rhetoric just as much as the crazy **** all the way on the right.
