TURKEY-SPAIN : Revival of the Phoenix

asik looks longer than gasol... i think asik is listed as 7-0, but he looks closer to 7-1 (or 7-2). nice to have an athletic, quick player who is a great defender. i checket his stats from chicago, this guy is a rebounding and shot blocking stud. horrible free throw shooter though, does not have very good hands or shooting touch, but is solid on the pick n' roll and he dunks everything. nice alley-oop option as well. he could start on many nba teams and as cyrone said, i do believe that he is the best backup center and arguably one of the best defensive bigs. i just checked some videos from youtube, too. man, this guy is a beast, one of the longest and most athletic centers in the nba with ridiculous length (standing reach and wingspan). if he can improve his free throw shooting (and maybe a post move and his conditioning), this guy has all-star potential. i do think that he can average 10 ppg 10 rpg and 2 bpg in the nba...

many big men are steals from the secound round, like marc gasol or omer asik. this guys should be at least a top ten pick...

so far Kanters resume looks like that: dominant vs weak teams, struggling vs strong teams. France, Germany and Serbia awaits.

To be expected. Most of Kanter's points have come off put backs, offensive rebounds, or posting smaller players. I would like to see him go to his baseline fade away against giants like Gasol.

if its you that writes his resume,yes.he played 14 min,he was inefective today,but he didnt have many chances,if you see those 2 positions against gasol,they gave him the ball in last 4 seconds,one he got blocked,the other one he had to drible to ball in 3 defence players,he had only 4 shots in the game.

He also has the handles to pump fake and go around his defender from midrange. It'll all come together. He'll be a PF or C depending on matchups.

They are at worst what he will see every night captain obvious. Nearly every team is big and every team has someone upfront that is at least as talented as ibaka, who is not a scrub.
The NBA's best (somewhat subjective, but leads by rate of blocks by a mile) shotblocker/best big on a conference finalist team and one of the best Cs in the NBA are not "at worst what he will see every night".

Why must you insist on constantly making an *** out of yourself?

A list of NBA teams with a worse frontcourt than Spain WITHOUT Pau;

Celtics (washed up KG and who?), Knicks (wearing-down Amare and who?), Sixers (washed up Brand and who?), Raptors, Wizards, Bobcats, Heat (RuBosh and who?), Pacers (Hibbert I guess and who?), Pistons, Cavaliers, Timberwolves (Kevin Love and... who?), Rockets, Suns, Warriors, Kings, Blazers (Aldridge and who?), Thunder, Jazz.

And those aren't even close.

Until the arrival of JV, right?

Signed,

Tool plain and simple

Must be that Portugal played easy against Enes but is giving everything they've got to Jonas. Must be that, yep.
