Turkey's Last Stand (Eurobasket Edition)

The Turkish reporters are pretty hot though

Question for turkish guys. I work in an area where there is a big muslim community and 99% of their women wear head scarves. I noted from games in Turkey lots of hot girls in the stands and not a single was wearing it. Is you religion different in that regard and does not require that or your women are more influenced by western culture and ignore it? Just curious.

I can answer this question. I am ancestrly and Ethnic Albanian from Kosovo, and of Muslim faith as well. Kosovo and Albania are predominately Muslim, much like Bosnia, and Turkey when it comes to the "Eurasian" area. The Turks, as well as the Bosniaks and the Albanians are predominately Sunni Muslim, so our faith is the same as the religion in Saudi Arabia, however they are strongly influenced by western culture. It is just not enforced nearly to the extent of countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and now modern day Iran and Iraq. The headscarve itself is controversial in the context of whether it is even required by faith or not, but I wont get into that.

In arabic peninsula its more conservative and more traditional. It is a regional thing. Just in Saudi arabia and iran there are more strict rules so no woman can take it off. The parts in turkey close to middle eastern region is also conservative. But Istanbul is far northwest in turkey and the hot looking woman are probably from there. Head scarf thing is more of a traditional issue than religion. In religion it says, woman should cover private places, not to provoke man, not necessarily their hair. But some people do it and some people dont regarding the compilation of cultural, regional and also religious effects
