Turkish Tweets Need Translating (Al Jefferson - Joakim Noah)

So it's come to this:

Translating tweets from the Ottoman Empire.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just start the regular season already.

I find this alleged deal unlikely, but not ridiculous. We could roll out Noah/Favors/Sap/Kanter for a year, look to trade Sap at the deadline, and move into the future with a Noah/Favors/Kanter frontline. Noah's a little overpriced in the new CBA, not crazy, but without Sap resigned he fits some version of 3 quality bigs to eat up the 96. Offensively, it could be brutal, but that's a bridge to cross.

What I find ridiculous is the Bulls starting Al and Boozer. That's just not going to work. And they can't trade Boozer so there's no option not to start them. So I'm not seeing the Bulls side of this.

According to sources, the Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls are in the midst of negotiating a trade; one source maintains the swap, should it not come unglued, has Al Jefferson and Joakim Noah as the centerpieces. Al Jefferson would head to the Bulls, and Noah to the Jazz.

Rose's injury problems have complicated scoring matters with the Bulls and getting a well regarded post player in Al Jefferson helps solve the issues. Al Jefferson's offensive production last season proves this.

Rose has the ability to score by himself though. He is the first option for the Bulls. His injury early in the playoffs had the Bulls sweating during them. Rose's exact timeframe to return remains unclear, but he might have to settle for being the second option until he gets back to full strength.

Favors, Enes, and Millsap are left to provide the post prescence for the Jazz. Scoring has never been the issue, defense has. Noah helps in this regard.

Where did you find that translation?

OK I found this one interesting. https://herkesicinbasketbol.com/index.php/al-jefferson-joakim-noah-takasi/

Bulls yönetimi Al Jefferson’a karşılık Joakim Noah’ı Utah Jazz’a göndermeyi düşünüyor.

"Chicago comes to a deadlock. The FO of Bulls that suddenly became a mid-level team after the injury of Derrick Rose started to work to make changes on the team. The Bulls will be devoid of contribution of Derrick Rose on offense and they consider to resolve this deficit by trading for Al Jefferson. The Bulls FO is considering to send Joakim Noah to Utah Jazz for Al Jefferson.

Although there isn't an official meeting yet, rumors say that Bulls made contact with the Jazz for the trade. On the other side, the Utah Jazz who already have a crowded big men rotation lean towards giving away Jefferson who is effective on the offense to get Noah who will be effective on the defense."

EDIT: Forget it. I looked up to the twitter of the guy who wrote this, he doesn't seem trustworthy one bit.

Holy @*^@

Carlos Boozer and Al Jefferson. That's going to be the most hilarious defensive frontcourt in the NBA.

We'd have a lot of defense but absolutely no offense (unless Favors has a BIG year next year).

IMO I'd rather let Al expire and see where things stand.. Noah certainly isn't cheap.

Jazz would be dumb to do this. Taking on Noah's contract is just plain stupid. How are we going to sign our guys if we are paying Noah 14 million a year. The guy can't score on a lamppost. Sure he hustles and plays decent defense but there is no way he is worth his contract. It would be like having AK back. The Jazz can get a better deal financially than this trade.

They take a risk to get some scoring out of Jefferson while Rose is out. When the season is over if they like Jefferson (prob wont but might) they resign him. If they dont they let him go and amnesty Boozer and they have some serious cap space to make a move on Harden/Howard/CP3 or some one else. They would have Deng and Rose under contract and lots of cap space.

The Bulls' biggest problem was revealed in the 2011 Easter Conference Finals: they don't have a second option who can consistently create his own shot. Al could give them that. Plus, with Rose reportedly going to miss most of the 12-13 regular season, maybe the Chicago FO feels they need more scoring for the start of the season. I can sorta see why they would do this.

As far as the Jazz are concerned, I think I would be in favor of this. We would likely miss out on a chance to sign Harden, but a Noah/Favors combo would secure our front court for at least the next four years. Then, if Kanter develops into the player many of us believe he can, Favors/Kanter/Noah just sounds too good to be true.

I doubt this actually happens, but it would have me excited if it did.

With this trade I could see the jazz being a lot like the last pistons team to win a championship. It's not like Sheed and Ben were a great offensive duo or anything. Infact Favors and Noah might be a better combo

Favors' offense will come. So will Kanter's, IMO. Plus, while those two develop, we still have Millsap this year. I wouldn't be worried about our offense. Everyone is always complaining about Al's inability to pass out of the post...well, Noah is a pretty great passer for a big man. Our offense could potentially run smoother with a Noah/Jefferson swap, in addition to obviously being much better on the defensive end.

Thib is a genius, but he can't design a defense that will allow Booze and Al to play on the court for 30 minutes together and win. That said, maybe the Bulls would give him the leverage to bring Boozer off the bench because they plan to amnesty him the following season. That's a wrinkle I hadn't thought about. Then they drop Booze and Al off the payroll and start anew with big cap space around Rose. Still don't see it as realistic but it's a riff.

Exactly. There's more of an angle to this from Chicago's perspective than at first glance. It's still a little far-fetched, but it's far from the most ridiculous trade rumor I've heard.

We have plenty of people who can score sans Jeff... Both Williams, G-Time, Burx, Millsap.

My only issue would be Noah's chronic injury history. And also cap implications that I'm not yet aware of
