Twist in Planned Parenthood Saga--Does it Change Anyone's Mind?

I have seen this written a few times recently.

Who's pro abortion?

I know of many people who are pro choice. I don't know of many who are pro abortion.
I'm pro abortion.
Too many people on this damned planet and allot of the time the babies being aborted are unhealthy and unwanted and would be born to crappy parents. Survival of the fittest, thinning the herd and all that

From the point of view of someone who has done research, I know that there is a market for harvested fetal tissues of all kinds.

Even a "Grand Jury" couldn't convince me these things haven't happened, don't happen, and won't continue to happen. Especially a "Grand Jury" that is set up to save a political cause. It is dead certain that if the jury wasn't packed, they'd never produce any product on this politically-charged topic.

I might think abortions are just wrong on the most fundamental level, because Life is our most essential human value, but I'm practical about it. Little island tribes like the Polynesians did a lot of infanticide when even young folks age 20 or so were starving to death. We humans have a problem with our ideals versus our circumstances all the time, and it's usually the ideals that yield to the necessities of life.

People who have no other moral reference than their own preferences or convenience just go there all too quickly for reasons that are all too ill-considered. If we don't make a deliberate, principled effort to advance Life, we are just the losers.

Sounds like something Hitler would say.

Sounds like something Hitler would say.
Probably.
Hitler probably said lots of things that I also say.
I bet he asked people how their day was and told his wife he loves her too.

Fish is right there are too many of us. 3 should be the maximum number of children that a woman is allowed to have.

Fwiw I have also probably said allot of things that sounded like something mother Theresa, gandi, and Jesus Christ said.

And I'm going to the humane society on Saturday to take the shelter dogs for walks, brush the cats and clean their litter boxes, do laundry and dishes and help get some homeless pets some forever homes.
I also go feed the homeless each year, donate items to charities and never get receipts for my time or donations to use for my own good.
I'm generally kind to most everyone. I'm my nieces and nephews favorite uncle.
And I don't want all unborn babies to die. Hell, I don't want any unborn babies to die. I would prefer that no women get pregnant unless they really want to and are ready to and I would prefer all babies to be healthy and born into healthy, good families.
Also, I don't want all Jews and blacks to be killed.

So I'm not exactly like Hitler either.

Probably somewhere between Hitler and Jesus

I'm not saying you're Hitler or anything like him, Fish. After I read what you wrote, my first thought was - hail Hitler.

Dude, you're def closer to Big J than Hitler. Good lord. Archie that was a dick thing to say.

In General, if we have to use skeletal images like Jesus or Hitler to evoke some knee-jerk idea in others, we could really use some more details in what we say. . . .

On the other hand, this is a net forum, and nobody will read a long sentence, let alone really think it all through. . . .
So go ahead, whatever. . . .

I would say all of us are.

Fwiw so I still pertain to this thread, still pro life. Always will be.

I respect that. Nothing to apologize for for valuing life.

One can be pro life and still support PP. They are not mutually exclusive. On the ledger side of things, I'm betting PP has prevented far more abortions than it has performed. Of course, I'm only guessing.

I get that. There are still places that do, and that would in absence of PP, perform the same function minus abortions.

Lets be honest, if you are pro life but support carpet bombing the Middle East, or support states and welfare ranchers to rape the land, or refuse to properly support public education then you aren't really pro life at all. I see many here in Utah who claim to be pro life. In reality, they are pro forcing women to give birth. But I don't know of a more pro-abortion group there is! Here in Utah we have the worst air quality in the nation and the worst funded schools.

For a state that touts "family values" we sure have an interesting way of showing it!
