What's new

UGLI baby not posting in the Jazz forum until Dennis Lindsey fixes this debacle

Just letting errybody know UGLI is holding up just fine.

He just showed up at my house for the UK / UNC game that's not until 3:15.

A Utes hat and a UK shirt, hahaha.

Louisville and Michigan State have already felt the wrath of sky blue, hopefully so shall the Cats.

I will be shocked if Lindsey does not try hard to trade all the vets. Then at the end of Hayward or Favors has a runny nose so be it.

Jazz also have been accumulating "assets" so package them up to move up if it's important.

The chances that anyone high enough in the draft order is willing to part with a pick that could easily be worth an entire franchise is very low.

Relax.

We play the spurs tonight and will face a pretty tough road trip until Christmas.

It's after that we might have to worry. The schedule eases up. Let's see what our health and record is like in a few weeks.
Every game matters. Think back on that home game against GSW late in 2012: That one Jazz victory simultaneously ended up putting the Jazz in the playoffs (granting Corbin more staying power and giving the Timberwolves a 1st rounder) and moved the Warriors pick out of the Jazz's hands (and Andre Drummond [which would've forced the Jazz to trade Jefferson] or Harrison Barnes along with it).

I don't know what you guys are seeing in this team to feel good enough about moving forward with. Favors is a nice player, and Burks looks to be a real piece, but after that, Hayward's a huge question mark as to whether he'll be here or not, Burks sucks as often as he looks great (with almost no in-between performances), and Kanter looks like green horse-**** more than half the time. I'm going to need to see a lot more than some hot shooting nights from Richard Jefferson and Marvin Williams to get excited about the ramifications of winning games this season.

I hate to make these arguments, by the way. I was not this on-board with this crap until the Jazz **** the bed out of the gate. Might as well keep it up.

I'm seeing a young and legit looking PG, I'm seeing Burks improve and even (gasp) pass the rock, I'm seeing Hayward realize he does not have to do everything and settling into the game and improve as a result, I'm seeing Favors look like a Center piece defensively with a good amount of offensive improvement. I'm seeing a coach that refuses to use the lineups that are effective (and with a GM that loves analytics, this will get him fired). I'm seeing a bench that struggles and will still lose us a lot of games.
.
Kanter has looked terrible for a while though. I hope he is still recovering from his injuries.
.
I still wish Corbin would stop playing Jefferson so many damn minutes though. I think Marvin could be a part of the future of this team if his price tag is reasonable.

Problem is that this team does in fact have some pretty good talent but will never be contenders for a title without a star player (which they lack)
It is doubtfull we get that star in free agency.
Our best bet for a star player is in THIS YEARS TOP 4 DRAFT PICKS

Having the worst record guarantees us of that top 4 pick and our best chance at the star this team needs.
But since we have been healthy we actually have a winning record and therefore our best chance at aquiring that star player is slipping away

I just want to go on record that Embiid is now my #3 guy. I would take him over Randle and Exum. If he keeps playing the way he has I might eventually take him over everyone. The kid is going to be special.

I agree with most of this. But I want Jefferson and Marvin traded for a couple d league players like right now. We need young guys to play and go on a huge losing streak.

You are saying that this:
If the Jazz ends up even with the 5-6 range, I'm comfortable that they'll get their man.

I wonder how it would be if a lottery pick with a 10th or 12th pick would feel like this draft.
Means this?
How many dicks do you have up your *** to your brain? I said, a 10-12 range added to a superstar pick.
I'm very unimpressed with the way you communicate.

And how do you suggest the Jazz get a 10 million and 8 million dollar contract traded for a couple of D-league players?

I am sorry Joe. I felt a bit offended and acted without thinking. You're right my first post was not clear enough. But know that what I intended to mean was the 2nd one. Of course settling for a mid class pick is not a solution to anything, but will keep rolling the Jazz's last 10 year cycle.
