I'm guessing the picks came with bad multi-year contracts that would affect our cap situation and ability to offer Kanter, Hayward and Burks deals this offseason.
If long term bad contracts where in the deal then I agree that I would not want that.

Also at this point how many more draft picks and young players do we need? We already have two first round picks in this years draft.

To play devil's advocate, another late first round pick coupled with GSW pick (borderline lottery looking) might get you into late lottery, which could be Doug Mcdermott.
I am not a fan of Kanter, but I really would like to see if Favors and Kanter absolutely are incompatiable on the floor at the same time. This means 20-30 games of 30 plus minutes for each. We blew that oppurtunity.Looks like my dream of a Kanter, Favors starting lineup is dead.
Look pal, that GS pick is either lottery or garbage. No borderline about it. That late first would have been more garbage. Ill take a re-signed Marvin Williams, Jabari (fingers crossed), and a few other young vets to round out our roster and start making runs next year rather than accumulate all these ****ty picks you idiots want.
Things you should prob know...
1) Marv Williams is a middling player in the NBA and is not someone you re-sign when you are under the cap. The difference between re-signing him when you are under or over the cap is absolutely huge. Using cap space to re-sign an average NBA player with no upside is a treadmill team move and would lock us in purgatory.
2) Having Marv Williams on our roster this year hurts our chances at landing Jabari who you have your fingers crossed for.
3) It is never bad to accumulate draft picks.
4) We are not idiots.
5) Anthony Bennett is bust lol
1) Far worse players than Marvan Williams- Sirius
2) The Jazz org hurts our chances- Sirius
3) Trading a YOUNG SOLID vet for garbage at the end of the first round is stupid.
4) Sometimes a good look in the mirror is good for all of us.
5) RASHAD VAUGHN!
This is not about if Marvin Williams is a better basketball player than a late 1st rounder, its about the fact that re-signing Marv hamstrings our team going into the future.
Marv provides negative value going forward both in terms of wasting cap space we will never again have and hurting our draft pick this year.
I would trade Marv yesterday for a bag of potato chips.

If true, it's ****ing retarded; any 1st round pick for Marvin is a good haul. Even if he were traded, the Jazz could sign him as a free agent this summer. Not sure I'm buying this story.
