What's new

*** Utah Jazz @ Detroit Pistons Wednesday October 28th 5:30 MT Official Game Thread***

I like the Neto move kind of... I actually like Hood off the bench because I think he is more capable of getting his own shot. I just hope Trey doesn't view this as a license to chuck.

Burks is capable of getting his own shot as well.

I bet Burke won't be very happy to play behind a rookie for the second season in a row, if Snyder sticks with this lineup.

I think Quin realizes the team doesnt have to time to adjust to Burks in the starting lineup. With Neto and Hood, they can really play like they did last year when it was Ingles/Exum and later on Hood/Exum when the Jazz were really rolling.

I mean Burke still got 27 minutes a night as a reserve, more than the 25 Exum averaged as a starter.

Could be. Wouldn't be surprised if Alec plays off the bench for most of the season. I've been vouching for it all offseason. Either Hayward or Burks should always be on the court.

Good post

oh god YES it's an east coast game. I can tune in until 8pm-- hopefully the game is more or less finished by then!

Good to see that Quin has the stones and the brains to not jam Burke in there as the starter just because he's the veteran.

I wish we had Quin when we had the Jefferson team. He probably would have been smart enough to bring Al off the bench and start Favors and Millsap. Probably smart enough to insist on trading him too.

It really feels like it's a whole new way of thinking for the Jazz. It's really refreshing.

I've never been more nervous for a season opener. So much hype, so easily disappointed.

I'm not worried at all. The Jazz will get up for this game. Defense travels too. As long as we do what we did last year, which is play great defense, then even if our offense sputters we will still be in it at the end.

I'm confident Rudy will bring it. He's the key to it all.
