Utah Jazz 'emerging as a suitor' for power forward Udonis Haslem

udonis haslem sucks! god why is it that the only players that want to play for Utah are undrafted dudes and 2nd round picks...

We lost Booz and Korver, and Haslem and Wesley are not worthy replacement for that amount of money if you ask me. I seriously doubt that the TPE's and MLE are going to land us any worthy assets either.

It looks more and more like this year is going to stink anyways, why do we tie down our future for band aid solutions then?

Next year looks to be the perfect time for a major overhaul. We get rid of AK's horrible contract, and we can also free ourselves form Price, Miles and Doufos which would put us roughly 20 Million bucks under the cap to be serious player in next years free agent market. We would still have an OK nucleus of DWill, Millsap, Okur and Hayward(if he pans out) to start with, which is not too shabby.

I think we would be best off if we try to collect as many draft picks for next year as possible, then fill this years roster with some promising scrubs and a couple of one year, low budget veteran player contracts.

I would absolutely like us to tank this season for a lottery picks, but we know that this is not something that Sloan would settle for, and he would probably still make the play-offs with those scrubs.

There have been a litany of reasons listed as to why. It's unfortunate, but a fact of life. Salt Lake City is not exactly a mecca of fun or diversity for an African American male. Plus, being in a small market does influence their visibility.

Jazz supposedly made an attempt to get Josh Childress (as did the Spurs) but PHX got him (along with Turkoglu) in a 4 team trade. I woulda liked Childress on the Jazz. Haslem is meh, sounds like he's getting more than he's worth but then again so are a ton of others.

Hey, our FO & Coach did keep our team above .500 when Stockton-to-Malone left.... so I dont think ths year will suck but be entertaining see our young guys step up (CJ, Koko, Fes, Hayward, Evans)...

Having said that, I like Haslem but rather have Foster (TPE because of his 1 yr remaining) than Haslem 2 add'l yrs...

I also think Evans will surprise us all & be what Millsap was when he was our 2nd rounder!!

E-mail to Miami Sun Sentinenl from Haslem: "Turned down full mid level from Dallas and Denver. See u next season."

I wonder if Riley has a Joe Smith document in his desk.
