Utah Jazz @ L.A. Lakers - Dec 9 - 7:30 PM MST - Root Sports

If Kanter can keep this up Jeff can walk after the season. He had a nice moment I think against Howard, where after he started his back in, passed out, got better position, got the ball back right away and scored. Looked solid the whole time, pro move. I hadn't seen this from him, he might be a lot closer to being ready than I thought.

Keep it up Big Avian Livestock.

Big avian livestock lol.
Repped..... well if i could i would have

I was only able to watch the second half, but it was great seeing the Jazz beat the Lakers for the second time this season. One thing that surprised me is that World Peace never posted up when Jeremy Evans was guarding him.

I really loved how this game was officiated, by the way.

Me too..... it was nice watching kobe get pissed all game cause the refs would not give him every call.

And by over-reacting you mean not watching the game and just reading the box score so they can look for something to bitch about.

Hayward is way ahead of where he was at this point in the season last year. His FG% and Assist Numbers have gone down because they're trying to transition him from being a supporting player on the starting unit to the focal point of the second team.

Sorry, I wasn't calling for Hayward's head, and I would hardly call it over reacting by pointing out where he is lacking.

Just to be clear, I watched until the middle of the third quarter, but the kids were in and out of the room. I used the box score to back-up what I saw. I watched Hayward standing watching the offense, watching on defense, watching the loose balls. Harpring called out Hayward for missing a defense rotation that led to a Howard dunk or lay-up. I saw Hayward go to the rim the first time he touched the ball only to be blocked and hammered by the Lakers, with no call. Then I watched him chuck 3 more jumpers before finally making one. I watched him slumped shoulders walking slowly to the bench and I watched Sidney Lowe light him up verbally.

I understand that Hayward's +/- was +12 or something, great. And I know he made a terrific play on the sideline that led to a dunk by Carroll (?), and I'm saying that I would really like to see him do more like that, I want to see him scrambling for the ball, see him start down the lane and make a pass, fight for a rebound once or twice, make something happen instead of waiting for something to happen--- otherwise he is just a chucker with a low fg%.

Here is the stat of the night:

Mike Prada @MikePradaSBN
The Jazz scored 46 points with Antawn Jamison in the game last night. He took the ball out after the made shot on 34 of those points

That's 46 points and 34 with Jamison taking it out in 16 minutes of action, by the way.

They were so skinny at the front court. They made awful lateral moves at off season imo (there were no significant fa's though) and that makes them a very bad team and lack of depth after a couple of injuries.

Hayward is not a chucker. Hs shot has come around nicely. He is missing his shots going to the hole not getting foul calls. Plus some tip back misses in traffic. If you watch the games Hayward is quite engaged, one of our smartest players.

Only time he checks out is when the entire offense checks out , which is when the play call is "feed Al and watch". Heck, I would check out to.

He is also one of our most aggressive. Marvin could take notice.

Hayward must be the last player who gets labeled chucker. In fact, he passes more when he is not supposed to do even he's free.
