What's new

Utah Jazz @ New Orleans Pelicans -- Feb 5, 6pm MST

Were those games blowouts where every single other player played?
Context matters
The jazz had their foot on the gas pedal until about 3 minutes left of last night's game. Would 3 minutes have been important to Burks? To Burks fans? Why?

Rationality matters.

It's still pretty weird. Usually all the end of the bench guys get in during garbage time.

Only two things make sense:
1. Burks is about to get traded
2. He let Royce O'Neale stay because his mom came to the game and he wanted to get Erik McCree in the game (played at LA Tech)

It's probably #2, but we are all trade hungry.

Not in my experience, if anything it is normally a hindrance.

I know our rookies have had a positive effect on our vets

Really wish Favors would reconsider signing with the Jazz. Hoping Favors and his agent are looking at how well the Jazz have been playing lately.

It's possible that the Rudy/Favors/Gobert combination could work. I wouldn't have thought so after the way things went earlier before Gobert got hurt. But at the same time, there wasn't a lot of time for the team to gel before the injuries to Rudy. And Favs has stayed very healthy this season, too.

Man. What if?

Rudy so big he covers two roster spots!

So you didn't answer my question. Nice deflection.
In answer to your question, i dont know if those 3 minutes matter to burks, only he does. I doubt its important to burks fans. As for rationality mattering.... that is exactly what we are discussing. What was the rational (reason) that burks didn't get in but every other player did? Trade related? Doghouse related? none of the above? It was just something being discussed. I dont think it has ever happened to burks before so its kinda strange. Probably has to do with trade scenarios.

On the weirdness spectrum, this is pretty clearly on the side of really-not-very-weird.
How about rare? since i dont think it has ever happened before, would it at least qualify as rare in your opinion?

If I were Burks, I would be insulted to put into a game at garbage time.
