What's new

Utah Jazz @ New York Knicks 5:30pm Mountain Time *Official Game Thread*

Burke has been miserably bad this game, both offense and defense. Only thing worse this game is our team defense against the pick and roll.

Edit: I take it back. Jefferson's D is also worse (absolutely horrific this game).

This game?

Since December/Januaryish he's sucked. Really, with the exception of those first few weeks after he came back from injury he's sucked.

He's a pg with less than stellar size, athleticism, and vision. A terrific college player. Not so great nba player.

Burks and Kanter need to be in. This is why Ty needs to be fired. The fact that the Jazz might win a few games after his firing is worth it. This truly is a wasted season.

/facepalm

so you dont think it has anything to do with his the OFFENSIVE system and defensive schemes implemented?

Burke's main problem is that he can't shoot, at least right now. He's not a shot creator, but if he can shoot 40% from 3 he will be a valuable starter in the NBA. Right now he offers...nothing. But, rookie, meh.

And this game has been worse than usual. He was 0-5 from 3 in the first half, that's a special kind of bad.

I was pissed that I didn't realize the game was already on. Turn it on and it's 79 to 59. Glad I missed the first bit. Bucks worthy

Don't think I've ever seen a defense give up so many easy alley-oops in my life. Other than an all-star game at least.

Sure, the coaching contributes to his lack of effectiveness. However, aren't you concerned that those exact same concerns mentioned prior to his drafting are manifesting themselves so profoundly in games since January?

no cus i saw when offense was run through him. there where some great assist and court vision.

so for now i give him the benefit of the doubt and blame it on lack of offense aka hayfense.

innocent until proven guilty in my book
