Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs -- Feb 3, 7pm MST

I've got a bitcoin ad and I've never had jack **** to do with bitcoin.

But usually they are about dating Asian or Russian women, so yeah...

2nd night of a back to back. Last night, Mitchell drops 40 and with him out of the lineup, Rubio lays 34 and 9 assists on the Spurs.

Gobert/Favors combined for 25 points and 17 rebounds.

Royce O’Neal scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Jazz proving to have one of (if not THE) deepest benches in the NBA. . . even missing Exum, Mitchell, Sefalosha and JJ tonight.

Nice win.

I guess my ideal situation is to finish strong and I’m torn on whether I want the 13th pick and to just miss out on the playoffs or to make it (for the experience) and have our doors blown in by the Dubs.
Make it. There’s a progression to success. Get Donovan Mitchell to the playoffs first and then build off that. Having a guy who can go off for 30 or 40 any night sure helps a ton. I want as many games under his belt as we can get.

It was dope seeing the crazy ****ing passes Rubio was tossing once he started getting doubled.

That's the scary thing with Rubio-- if he ever becomes a serious offensive scoring threat-- it's basically game-over. He becomes an impossible cover, because of his passing acumen. His passing has largely been held in check this season because he hasn't been scoring at a clip high enough to scare opposing teams.

I'm happy to have him on our team. I'm so happy with how the Jazz have been playing. I really hope we make the playoffs, and I hope we match up with the Spurs.

this win is so so impressive. no mitchell yet we won in san antonio. wow

I really like oneale. I like him more than hood. Very consistent. Won't score 30 but still. he always produces by rebounding or hustling.

I still like Hood and hope he stays. I just want the Jazz to clarify his role and get him to play within that. I’d like to see him get bigger/stronger, but I have a feeling that if we trade him Jazzfanz will be begging for a 6’8” wing that can shoot well from 3. They already have that. The only question is “What kind of offer will he get?”

I still get the feeling that it’s going to be less than expected.

With that said, I live what O’Neale is doing and Im hopeful that he will continue to get consistent minutes so he can continue to improve. If he can be the next Bazemore, Carroll, Simmons. . . that’s a helluva find for DL. I bet that more and more Euro guys look to the Jazz as a viable option to break into the NBA moving forward.

Royce has really made me eat crow. What a nice decision to keep. I still miss Bolomboy, but O'neale was the better choice.

Rubio also really shocking. I was ok with trading him if the right offer came along, but now Id rather keep him. His value to the team has risen, and I doubt we'd get someone better that hes playing right now. Love his work ethic and energy on the court.

Gobert is back. Our leader. His team (along with that other kid).

The play at 7:37 was my favorite (after the Royce O’Neale steal/slam) and a critical one.

Spurs had cut the lead to 1 after a 3 pointer pulled them to 93-94. Jazz answered with a play that had a great cut by Hood, great pass by Gobert to Hood, GREAT pass from Hood (in midair) to O’Neale in the corner and a great swing pass from O’Neale to Rubio for a wide open 3 pointer.

Not as awesome as the play against the Suns that had them scrambling for the ball, but still pretty damn impressive passing and unselfish team play that led to a wide open shot at a critical moment. Rubio has had a few this year and he’s delivered in those moments.

Ever since Rubio hit that game winning 3 (against Washington?) he has been playing great iirc.
Toronto. Mitchell made Lowry his bitch by knowing what they would do on defense and giving the ball to Ricky in the clutch moment for the game winner (when everyone in the building thought Donovan was taking it.)

I love how Ingles read the Spurs hammer play in the last minute from the get go and deflected the pass. Either that or Quin told them to look for it during the timeout before the play.

We need to shoot for a matchup against Houston. They will have an epic collapse.

Did you not hear Rubio's end of game interview? He said he worked hard for this moment and he will enjoy it. He looks focused and possessed. This is a never seen before Rubio, one that's on a tear. He has been working with former Jazz pg Raul Lopez and we can see the results of it. Rubio will tap in to his true potential he's got heart and a 2nd to none effort.
He has looked like a young Rondo Thea past couple of games. What excites me most is the aggression driving, and he's actually finishing or getting to the line, and unlike Rondo, Rubio actually makes ft's
Great game tonight... Rubio was great!

Remember when many here wanted to keep bolomboy over buckets ONeale... glad I was on the Royce side. Dude is playing BALL!
I'm still pissed about not keeping Bolomboy, but I wanted to keep him over Neto
