Utah Jazz v. Houston Rockets 1/4 7:00 PM MT

Hood went 5/6 from 3 and scored 3 more pts than Hayward on half the shots. That's not a knock on Hayward, it means Hood has put together another impressive performance.

Hayward disappears for stretches. Goes away from the ball. Usually in the fourth.

I hate the way then a is officiated. Withey goes for a strong dunk and is fouled by two guys no call. Harden throws his hands into guys bodies and that's a foul. If I was a ref I would so clearly have to see the foul on harden before I'd call anything... He makes them look stupid on the regular.

Honestly though... I'm not sure how we are even in games with real nba teams right now. Missing two of our big three... Starting pg and best bench player... We baked the eff out of some cakes doe.

This season is frustrating.

We are 4th/5th seed material but are too injured to prove it.

I thought the jazz didn't go to hood enough in the second half.

Feed the hot hand. Especially when harden was guarding him most of the time

After Hood/Hayward subbed out the offense stagnated hard. We weren't force feeding anyone in the 1st half and the offense was great. Then early in the 3rd we were doing good, then Hood/Hayward go out and Harden scores like 10 straight and our team locked up and played rigid. Then we tried to just go to Hood/Hayward and the offense was really rigid and we were making a ton of mistakes. It was frustrating to watch how bad the offense stagnated.

Very good observation. But once Hayward and Hood came back, they seemed to settle down. That no call on the attempted dunk was one of the worst, if not the worst, I've seen this season. How can they miss something so blatant. It's calls like these that make you wonder if the refs are betting on the game.

Welp, live by the bad call die by the bad call I guess. Didn't think it would happen this quick. Though Hood did have a shot to make it all better, sigh.

14 pts in the 4th was what killed us. I almost want Quinn to give the boys a night off vs the spurs so we can go at these guys again on thursday.

I don't think its in Quinns blood to "rest" for a game though.

Who would you play? No Gobert, Favors, Hayward, Hood, Burks or Exum?

Withey, Lyles, Jingles, Johnson and Neto with Pleiss, Booker, Millsap and Burke off the bench? Ouch. . . I'm not sure the outcome is worth the pain of going through that.

Its time to remember the late 2000s and the hate we had for the Rockets.

At least we still own them in the playoffs. Playoffs...sigh.

In addition, if Hayward got the calls Harden does, he would be at the line 20 times a game.

Harden literally just flops his arms, no one touches him and he goes to the line.

While this is happening , Harpring is druling over how good Harden is and how difficult he is to defend.

This is what I hate about the NBA. Superstar calls and they give no one on the Jazz that respect.....

Hood was our best player last night. He was 6-9 from the field. That is not enough shots. He had 4 attempts in the second half. (made 2 out of the 4)

Hayward was 7-18 with 5 turnovers. Burke was 3-11

We should have been getting hood the ball more and finding ways to get him good looks. Yet i noticed many times in the second half we had hood chillin in the corner while neto, trey, or hayward tried to make things happen. Hood didn't even touch the ball on allot of possessions

I look forward to this team learning not to leave it in the refs hands.

Make no mistake the Jazz are pissed about last night. They should be. They blew it before the terribly bad non call.

This team is hungry. You can see it.

#5 seed here we come.

it was pretty much Par For The Course, actually.

I understood why we were running such a basic offense during November and the first part of December: the team was traveling most of the time + there was very little practice time. Maybe the excuse now is injuries? The bottom line is that our offense looks several weeks behind even the most generous schedule. Yick.
