What's new

Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Monday 10-30-17 @ 7pm MST

Donovan Mitchell does something "wow" at least once a game, and I just love him for it. Special player.
His steal and assist to Thabo sparked a 15-5 run to close the game out. I love that he steps up his game in the 4th quarter. Bodes well for his development into a go-to scorer for this team.

But he's plateaued as a PnR passer. He isn't very creative or forceful in that aspect. Had tunnel vision basically all of last year. If he were better as a PnR passer (and if he could stay healthy), then he'd be a legit #1 option.

I can agree partly with that. I think he can hit the big on a roll but I don't think he can be creative as you say and hit the corner when the help comes down. But another thing is he also rarely ever gets to/attacks the rim. That being said, I still think he is dynamic enough to be one of our best, if not best offensive weapons in the PNR.

He made some pretty good passes out of the PNR late in the 4th, namely the one that ended up for the open Mitchell corner 3.

Great win tonight other than the last part of the first half. I'm loving the Favors/Udoh pairing, we seem to always go on a run when that lineup is out there. Triple R (not H anymore) played great, Favs looked nice, and Sefolosha was great as well.

It's nice to see our starting unit gel. They are starting to play well together. This is the second game in a row they have outplayed the other teams starters. They had been struggling as a unit so far.

I know Sefolosha was a good pick-up but I am surprised how much he contributes to the identity of this team this early.

i think you mean crushed rather than outplayed tonight

Let's hope those lanes are clicking for him. There were glimmers in his 2nd year. That 3rd-option pass is absolutely necessary to see and hit on the numbers.
