What's new

Utah State/BYU

Yeah it was pretty good except that the refs were way too tight on the officiating though. They were calling every little bump throughout the game, and then Wesley got the screw job on that last foul when he was clearing out space.

Utah State has won a lot of ballgames in the 00's, I think they showed a stat on T.V. during the game that said they were 4th in winning percentage over that time period or something, it's always good to beat a program like that.

refs combined with Utah St's terrible FT shooting pissed the game away. I'm still pissed over that terrible call they made against Tai Wesley at the end. Not only was that not intentional but it wasn't even offensive. Then, after letting them play unbelievably physically for most of the game, they end up calling touch fouls towards the end. I usually don't get pissed over NCAA officiating. But the last few minutes of this game was worthy of a Dick Bavetta's performance teamed with Durant/Lebron/Wade/Kobe vs the Jazz.

Otherwise a great game....

As fans filed out of the Marriott Center following BYU's hard-fought 78-72* victory over visiting Utah State, a message flashed on the scoreboard that read "Dear UT St., Enjoy The LOSS ♥ Your Big Brother BYU." BYU issued the following statement on Thursday apologizing for the scoreboard message and insisting that the student acted without the knowledge of anyone from the Cougars athletic department.
