Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

if they re-sign cousins they're gonna have to dump some dollars.. they'll have 3 max players.

This all blows. Standby for the "we're adding a top 5 lottery pick in Dante Exum" speech

I just puked in my mouth a little.

The good thing about Mirotic is that he's a very quality player on a friendly deal. If Cousins stays and he makes near the max, the Pelicans will do their best to dump Ajinca AND/OR Moore way before they dump Mirotic.

It's okay everybody. We didn't get Mirotic. We might be looking back on him in a couple years and be thankful we didn't do another George Hill or Rubio deal.

Yeah, umm, doesn't seem like anyone but infection is upset that we wouldn't send a 1st rounder. Like... anyone else.

So here is a recap of the trade deadline so far.... Mirotic is off the table. Kemba never was on table. The league thinks Jazz players suck. All the teams are waiting to see where Monroe decides to play. Joe Johnson wants to play for a contender.

Jazzfanz hope has dwindled to where we are beginning to convince ourselves Stanley Johnson is a good option.

But maybe there is hope on the horizon....the Knicks want to be more athletic....

Maybe Hornaceck remembers Alec Burks?

Anyone wanna talk about the offer that Milwaukee threw at Parker and he walked from?

Ehh? Ehh?

Ehh.

Green, fish, and a couple others. They got a pick in the 20s for taking on bad salary and sending over a bunch of second rounders. It’s hard to make an argument that a protected pick without salary and without having to send back multiple second rounders would be preferable.

It’s okay, though. There’s safety in numbers. JazzFanz wouldn’t have traded Kanter for Harden, either.

They don't have anything that they'd be willing to trade and that we'd want given Burks' salary.

Yeah, I mean, ultimately, they wanted a stretch 4 and not Favors. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Chicago really wanted a 1st. It just didn't work out.

But speaking to the idea of sending a Jazz 1st rounder, there were very few on the board that supported that.

@ChrisBHaynes tells us now on @ESPNLosAngeles if these teams had a max slot LeBron James would listen to them b/c he respects them. Teams are the Warriors, Spurs, & less so the Heat (b/c he’s been there done that). Wouldn’t rule out Lakers, Cavs & Rockets. No Clippers.

I really wish somebody from the Jazz pipeline, somebody like Tony Jones, would just start a LeBron to Utah rumor. We could open up the space for him and put him with Gobert, Mitchell, Ingles and others. At least it would be entertaining to see the opinions, chatter, etc.

no idea what you are talking about
Zach Lowe said:
Extension talks between Parker and Bucks fizzled in October, and Parker will enter restricted free agency this summer. The Bucks were prepared during those October talks to offer a three-year deal worth around $54 million, according to sources familiar with the discussions. The two sides discussed other permutations -- shorter deals, incentive-laden four-year deals -- and the talks never narrowed to a single on-paper offer. Still: Milwaukee's upper limit in annual salary -- about $18 million per season -- was clear, sources say.

The first substantial evidence that the Bucks are wobbly about keeping Parker, and this board is all crickets. LOL, y'all.

or ... we might look back in a few years when we've got a 15th pick who's nothing more than bench fodder and realise we missed a perfect chance to add a player who is seemingly a perfect fit for the roster as currently constructed and who by all accounts wanted to come and we sat on our hands.

There better be something better brewing.

Im Just Going to take A Guess And Guess You Are Not From America. No one Would Belive It And Utah would Be Made fun Of. It Would not be a Good Look. Anyone living here in USA knows this.

Damn it... I saw that and intentionally left it off the board so that we didn't get a 75 page Jabari thread that ends in disappointment... Infection can't take anymore of this right now.
