7pts,9reb, 1blk in 15 min vs Russia today. He will be just fine with minutes and role Raptors are willing to give him. I could bet he will have better rookie season then Kanter.
 
I watched the game and while his stats were ok i thought he didn't look very good against bad competition. but he is only 20 so he could get better but right now i would say he will be playing about as much as kanter in his rookie year.

Difference is Jazz had Jefferson, Favors, Millsap in frontcourt. Toronto has Gray and Amir Johnson. There is no way they play JV only 13min a game. I think he is lock to play 20-25 min at least. Or until he fouls out, lol.

I could have sworn that toronto have a dude named andrea bargnani and another dude named ed davis in thier frontcourt.

True, none of them though will take any JV minutes. Maybe I should have left Millsap out of discussion as he is not taking Kanters minutes either. Thing is Jefferson and Favors are so much better players compared then Johnson/Grey ( none should be starters on any other NBA team) that Jazz had hard time finding minutes for Kanter. Toronto on the other hand will have plenty for JV.

I literally do not understand how Val got so much hype. I expect him to have a rookie season similar to Kanter.

JV is a young and promising player.
he deserves to be recognized for his succesful career and his talents.
