What's new

Very excited to see more of this!

I'm personally under the impression Kanter is and will be a much more polished an offensive player than Favors.

Definitely, It seems like Kanter took a lot of the post game that Al was helping him developing, and combined it with his love of contact and his superior mobility. He's definitly a more polished offensive player than Favors. Granted he sometimes uses the wrong, post move at bad times, but he's definitively got the workings of a guy who you can throw the ball to in the low post for consistent scoring.

Kanter Has Some Really Nice Footwork For Such A Menacing And Brute Disposition On The Court. It Would Be Best If Corbin Played Him And Favors Together As Much As Possible So We Have The Foundation Working On The Same Page. Hayward, Burke, Burks And Our Next Draft Picks Will All Be Able To Play Off Our Posts. I Like The Vision The GM Has But Am Still Holding Out Hope He Sees Corbin Isn't The Answer.

Yea i talked to Mete Aktas who is so close to him,a basketball journalist and blogger. So, he said to me Kanter's gonna be ready in August to step up on the court.

Thanks. Do you have any information about Kanter playing for his national team in the Eurobasket which starts at the beginning of September?

I say around 15/10 for Favors and Kanter. The only way one of them would average like 13-14rpg, is if the other averaged around 8.
IAWTP. Both are very good rebounders and Derrick likely gets some P&R opportunities with Burke running the show. Their numbers will be similar, maybe slightly more points for Enes and more blocks for Favors.

Last Season -
AJ - 17.8 ppg
Sap 14.5 ppg
DF.....9.4ppg
EK.....7.2ppg

Tot...48.9ppg
I think the Jazz back court will score more this year than last, so estimate the front court will be 42ppg
DF... 16 (hard to imagine DF getting more PPG than big all who touched the ball a lot...)
EK... 15
AB... 5
JE.... 5 (JE was 2ppg last year)
RG.... 4

DF... 20. Malone is teaching him how to play the game, and turning Favors into a man child. I have a feeling everyone will be surprised..

^^Just be careful not to assume those are averages for 82 games. Gobert will get a lot of DNP's as he's extremely raw. And the others will all likely miss a few games here and there; not too many players appear in all 82. I think Foye was the only one last season.

No i did not talk about Kanter joining to the NT but the coach is Tanjevic and Turkish basketball federation boss is same who thinks Kanter betrayed the NT by not joining without excuse so it's most def. he will not participate to the team for the Eurobasket.

I thought kanter would be better by August??

If so, that'll be great. For some reason I was thinking that August was given as a best case scenario, and that Sept/Oct was a more realistic one... but I could be misremembering.

I hope Kanter is as good as some seem to think. Cause going against top centers in this league is going to be a real challenge for him. You can't bully everyone in this league. But with that said, Al Jefferson taught him to be smarter in the post. So my hopes are high, but my instincts tell me he will be around

14 ppg
9.5 rpg
1.5 apg

Kanter is not going to be better than Favors, I'm sure of that. Possibly equal to Favors, but that injury might have him a few steps back from Favors progression with Malone.

He'll be good though, To be a brute and to be pretty proficient in the post, not so many players like that in the NBA. The ones that are muscular with a polished post game put up nice numbers.
