W/ Lakers going to deal players, should Jazz make a move on any of them?

Looking for other opinions. Its obvious after being swept that the lakers are going to be making a few changes to the roster. And I think the Jazz are going to be doing the same. But is there anyone on their team that you think the jazz may be interested in, and worth pursuing?
I personally hate the Lakers. (Read the screen name) But I think the only one on their team thats worth going after is Ron Artest. The Jazz are in need of some older leadership and rough defense. I think someone like Artest may be exactly what they are looking for. I dont think that should be the only move for the Jazz, but I wouldnt want any other one on their team of scum bags in a Jazz uniform.
Is there anyone on their team that you would want the Jazz to go after?

I like guys named Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, or Shannon Brown before Ron Artest, but I don't think Kobe is attainable and I am not sure Gasol is either but worth a shot!

I'd take Bynum or Shannon Brown.

Bynum is a punk, But he is still young and talented. He plays both ends of the floor and was one of the few that still seemed to care for that Lakers team. I don't think the Jazz have anything the Lakers want. Except maybe Memo's expiring. So they can attempt a run at Howard,Paul, or DWill after next year.

Why would anyone want Bynum after what he did in Mavs series?
Also anyone who trades for him gets his suspension for next season.

Why would anyone want Malone after what he did to Robinson and Isiah?

A couple of stupid plays does not a career make. His injury history is actually a bigger concern for me.

Bynum is one big knee injury.

Artest sucks.

Gasol is soft.

Kobe we cannot have.

I like Shannon Brown though.

And Lamar is with a Kardasian.

I like Shannon Brown coming off the bench. Bynum would be awesome depending how we draft, but he does have injury issues and has a big contract. I agree with above. Artest is terrible, Gasol is soft and is a terrible defender. Odom is 31.

The only players I think worth pursuing are Shannon and Bynum. And Shannon has a player option this year so he may be a free agent.

Personally, I don't think the Lakers are going to make a lot of changes. Especially with the new CBA.

I think about the only changes they'll make is go younger and quicker in the FA market... And trade Bynum and maybe Lamar/Artest for Dwight Howard.

But I don't see a fire sale where they get rid of everyone except for Kobe.

Is Fisher available?

Haha!

So hot...

I don't understand the Shannon Brown love. I get that he's a great athlete, but he's a career 42% shooter (34% from 3) and doesn't really have great rebound or assist numbers. Maybe he's a good defender? I don't know, I don't really watch a lot of Laker games. I just think we need to add shooters and he dosen't really qualify as a great or even very good shooter. He seems to be a taller version of Ronnie Price.

I think that they all make too much money. The only piece i'd really be interested in, would probably be Odom. He still has some game to bring. BUt I wouldnt trade for any Lakers player. Plus, if Utah wants Shannon Brown so bad just offer him a contract this off season.

Lakers won't do much. They just need to upgrade their PG situation and add another decent bench guy and they will be right at the top. They'd be stupid to just give away Bynum or Gasol and assume it's addition by subtraction.

By "won't do much", you mean "Other than go hard after Dwight Howard, the Lakers won't do much", right?

You really think ORL will give up Howard for Bynum? Eh.

I didn't say "get", I said "go hard after". Orlando will be in the same spot the Jazz and Nuggets were in and they will have three options: Bynum and something from the Lakers, Lopez and something from the Nets, and getting nothing as he goes elsewhere. They will also likely have offers of Bosh or Bozzer for him, but I think the Lakers and Nets will be the deals that get considered.

I don't see them trading Howard inside the same conference(just like the Jazz & Nuggets) so the Nets are out.

Lakers would have to cough up more than just Bynum for Howard.
Maybe something along the lines of this: https://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6f4l6rb

I don't think the Lakers would bite on that.
